The good thing about the XBox solution is, that you can have more than one expansion, which you can exchange on the fly.
Get a smaller one first and later on bigger ones, when prices go down.
So you have still a use for the smaller one you bought first.

I guess they first want to upgrade xCloud to the XBox series X, so that you can stream in a higher resolution on the pc

I don't have any of them, good one for me, one was also on my wishlist

the problem is licensing not that its digital, disc also will sell out, they don't press them endlessly

Now, I'm actually thankfull that they made some ps exclusive/timed exclusive stuff, so I decided to wait to get the game and all dlc's at a sale.

Now, it payed off and I get also the upgrade for the next gen for the reduced price of the ultimate expansion.

In late july it was all on track, in mid august it gets delayed, I wonder what happend in these few weeks.
Maybe someone put down their rose colored glasses?

Sorry, but if you plan a flagship game for a console release, it should be planned to be ready at least 6month before the release of the console, because there is allways something unexpected/problems that will happen.

If your plan was to develop the game until the last minute, then your plan was really bad from the beginning.
I mean they had allready planned to be not feature complete at release with Ray Tracing coming later.

Doesn't look like good planning for me, or they did allready run into some very big problems before covid happen

If its again a timed exclusive game/dlc, I will pass on any remedy game until they are dirt cheap on a sale.

What about making the rewards available in more countries?

I would say Phil is really for the players, I like the stuff he is doing

I just ordered a Xbox myself, for me the BC of XBox is more future proof since its in software and should run on every XBox in the future.

On the PS5 it seems BC is all in hardware and I would guess on the PS6 it will get difficult to make the hardware compatible for PS4 and PS5. Maybe they will also make BC in software in the future, time will tell.

But for now on, I will get the multi-plat-games on XBox and only the exclusives on PS5

Ah I see, it seems that my sound system is eol =(

ARC HDMI on TV or a Receiver with HDMI input?

4K HDR HDMI 2.1 receiver are not cheap, it allways seemed strange to me to route video through a receiver when he only needed the audio. With all these changing HDMI standards it is even worse.
Best is still to have a video and a sound connector, when your sound is not played over your tv.
They made such an effort to reduce latency and now your video has to go trough another device, if you want 5.1 audio and adding latency, seems not smart

Thats not good Mr. Spencer, I wonder how I will connect my 5.1 system then.
