Emanouel

According to operation Sports this game is really missing a lot of content, I'm going to cut and paste here whats missing...

No EA Sports Hockey League
No EA Sports Arena
No Online Shootouts
No Live the Life
No Be A Legend
No Winter Classic
No tournaments or Battle for the Cup
No season mode (you can only play seasons in Be A GM, which is limited to NHL teams)
No NHL 94 Anniversary mode
No custom music support
No create-a-play designer
Cannot customize each team's AI
No create-a-team
No way to edit individual players
Practice mode is now limited to one skater vs. an AI goalie

Gameplay:
No custom camera option
No Action Tracker replay highlights
No Top 3 Stars at the end of games.

Be A GM:
Yearly draft is fully automated by the CPU

@SuperKMx , im in the same boat as you as i was so looking forward to a next gen hockey experience. I waited a year since they skipped last year, now its going to be another 1 or 2 years for them to get a handle of things.

I would suggest you purchase NHL 14 as it would be dirt cheap now , no need to pay full price for just a number change and rooster update.

I actually enjoyed Fifa 14 and i do play that from time to time, i haven't tried the fifa 15 demo.

Honestly the next sports game I'm looking forward to is WWE 2K15, lets hope 2K gets it right again.

Re: Review: NHL 15 (Xbox One)

Emanouel

I guess i won't be purchasing this years NHL Game. if 2K were still developing Hockey games EA would not let this slide. The only choose for a hockey game is NHL 15 and its totally GIMPED. Even the ps3 / 360 versions are the same as nhl 14, just rooster updates make the difference. I don't see this years NHL game selling that well. Ea really did drop the puck on this game.

I will be looking forward to grabbing this from the EA Access service this winter holiday as i don't see it selling that well, nor do i want to invest my $ purchasing it.

What makes it worse is they had 1 entire year to spend developing this game which i was so excited about. Very little work went into the previous gen versions, so I'm not sure what they did in one year.

The reviewer (Ken Barnes) nailed this review and gave it a fair grade, great job Ken. reading reviews like this are reasons why i choose to visit PureXbox vs the other sites. Honest, non biased reviews.

Keep up the good work on the site and reviews

Re: Xbox One October System Update Detailed

Emanouel

@mitcHELLspawn, I agree with you 100% XBOX has been getting better and now with the MKV playback it will be a bigger selling point. they need to advertise that on the box like the blurry players and media players do.
Gaming Console + DLNA Support with Full Media playback including MKV files.

I was assuming MKV would be added by december, but MS is quicker then i thought.

Great job!!!

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Six

Emanouel

@mitcHELLspawn , i haven't downloaded war frame yet, i will sometime this week. i would start it soon, but i also have metro waiting for me. I'm trying to finish each game i own on xbox one before purchasing more games. Its worked well for me as i've finished 4-5 games already and i would hardly finish so many games in the same 2 month span in the last few years.

Im really enjoying the XBOX One console and its selection of games

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Six

Emanouel

@hydeks, I guess you also live in Canada since you got the wii mini.
I'm not a fan of that version as no virtual console due to
The fact nintendo didn't have wifi for that console.

I just have my character "Conan the barbarian" at paragon level 29z. I'm waiting til I reach level 50-60 paragon before starting a new character. As the paragon points will carry over to any new character.

Add me to your friend list and we can play a few games. What's your gamer tag? Mines is me chimps 2008..

Adventure mode is fun, but mines doesn't save my progress when I leave the game

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Six

Emanouel

@hydeks,

I finished the game at level 70 with paragon points as well. i just started playing the adventure mode which is quite cool. The game does offer lists of replay ability.

I see where you are coming from, There are times when i love to play retro games that i missed out on and or want to play again.

My favourite console for retro games is the Wii, I'm sure ill get the Wii-u one day as well.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Six

Emanouel

@MegaKillScreen Ill keep a eye out for you next time i play diablo. i usually play at night, but you are right its hard to play with different time zones, unless i play a bit earlier.

thanks for the help in diablo.

I was supposed to play Metro Redux, but i had it installed wrong. there is a error with the latest Preview firmware that if you update the game upon inserting the disc you will have long load times for chapter 1. what you need to do is not install the update and just install the disc to the hard drive and then once the game is @ 100% just play it to get the update.

Ill be online tomorrow to play some more diablo i did enjoy the rift mission. in my game the rift was unlocked, i guess i didn't have enough stones.

Re: EA Access: All The Facts And More

Emanouel

I think the service is a great offer for only $30 a year. I think MS needs to advertise this better so the average gamer knows this. If they knew they could get FIFA 14, Madden 25, Battlefield 4 and Need For Speed for just $30 a year they might consider purchasing a xbox over PS4.

Re: Review: Metro Redux (Xbox One)

Emanouel

Great review, I'm hoping to start playing metro this weekend, I'm on the final Act for Diablo 3 and once done ill play metro for a while and then hope back into diablo to try out the adventure mode.

Re: Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Dash-kicks On To Xbox One

Emanouel

Gamer83, i loved Injustice when i had the PS4, i would gladly re-purchase this game. It will probably be announced near the holiday season i hope.

I always wanted to get the arcade stick for the xbox one, but there was only one game out so it didn't justify the purchase.

i know MK10 is out next year, how knows whats next..

I never really got into tekken, wow they are already at 7 games .

Re: Saints Row IV Gets New Standalone Expansion, Jumps to Xbox One

Emanouel

@Gamer83, Don't forget Studios use these remastered versions to generate more capital to invest in there latest games, which isn't all that bad. plus at the same time they are getting more familiar with the xbox one / ps4 hardware. No one is forced to purchase them, but they are great fillers while newer games are being developed.

Re: Competition: Want to Win a Copy of Guacamelee, Stick It To The Man, or Abyss Odyssey?

Emanouel

Im really happy that Microsoft has created a site where fans / customers can go and voice there opinion about what they would like added to the xbox one software updates. Im very pleased with what Microsoft has done since there horrible e3 announcement last year, they are actually listening to the fans which is great. I can wait for MKV video support on the xbox one

Games id like the possibility of winning are
Xbox One
1 code for Stick It To The Man
Xbox 360
1 code for Abyss Odyssey

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - The 25th Issue

Emanouel

@mitcHELLspawn, on the inventory items with the potion icon, its under the treasure icon. you select the item and then press a to send it.

let me know if you got any gifts for my character, it should be labelled as mr chimps 2008.

another suggestion would be to increase the games difficulty as you will earn more XP and gold so you can level up faster

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - The 25th Issue

Emanouel

@mitcHELLspawn, my gamer tag is Mr Chimps 2008. i sent you a legendary item that i found while playing. lots of items including potions can take up inventory space as well.

I have a barbarian at level 54, i usually play at night. ill send you a message next time I'm online.

I look forward to play the Metro collection, after reading what you said about it. I'm even more excited.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - The 25th Issue

Emanouel

@mitcHELLspawn, thanks for the info regarding Metro Collection, i also want to get into it, but Ive been playing Diablo 3 and I'm still hooked on Diablo.

I also which i had more people to play online with let me know next time your up for a game, I'm also almost finished act 2 at Level 54.

@DRL, regarding the 60 item limit on the characters, you need to look at the potion area on your inventory. Every Jewel type counts as 1 on your /60 max. I usually keep a max of 2 of each jewel type the rest i just drop / sell. if your up for a game of diablo let me know, my gamer tag is Mr Chimps 2008.

Re: September's Xbox Games with Gold Confirmed

Emanouel

@HEADESTROYER4, i do agree that 1 game for two months is too long. If they don't have enough content to warrant two free xbox one games a month, then just release 1. Nobody needs 2 months to get a free game.

The other issue is that xbox one has less indie titles vs ps4, which limits the amount of free games they can give away each month.
