September's Xbox Games With Gold have been confirmed by Microsoft today.
If you're not already aware, each month,a number of free games are provided to Xbox Live Gold subscribers as a bonus on top of the other benefits of their Gold subscription. Both Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners are included in the fun.
In September, Xbox One owners will be able to get their hands on Super Time Force, which will replace Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut. So, grab Strike Suit Zero now while you still have time. Crimson Dragon will continue to be free for Xbox One owners for the duration of September. That means you're only getting one new freebie if you're an Xbox One owner.
On Xbox 360, you'll be able to download the top-down co-op heist-sim Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine from the 1st of September, through to the 15th. On the 16th, that'll be switched out for the full version of Halo: Reach, which will be free until the 30th.
To clarify:-
Xbox One Games with Gold (September)
- Super Time Force
- Crimson Dragon
Xbox 360 Games with Gold (September)
- Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine (1st - 15th)
- Halo: Reach (16th - 30th)

I never realized that Monaco wasn't some sort of dance game...
(I'm sure that box art hurt sales)
After investigating, it looks like something I'd really like. Thanks, Games With Gold, for making me pay better attention.
Could have atleast changed Crimson Dragon to possibly even the worst game ever LocoCycle and it would have looked better than keeping that rubbish up for free...
.........sigh
i like crimson dragon, and they cycle the xbox one games, 2 new then 1 then 2 and so on.
@TOMBOY25 That does seem to be the pattern. I'm just not entirely sure it's the best decision when compared to the six fresh games available EVERY month on PS Plus.
oh dear....poor effort on both fronts.
wow, talk about stinky pickings One new Xbox One game, one xbla game I never heard of, and halo reach, a game probably most 360 owners already own.
@II_Of_Seven
I had a feeling STF would come to Games with Gold! Loco Cycle would have been a good replacement I agree, who's still buying that one?
@DRL: Monaco is a great game especially with friends over its one of my friends and mine favorite couch multiplayer games.
So glad that its free with gold next month cause now I can have it when they come over to my place.
And smart move making Halo Reach free but I have to wonder whos going to be playing it with Destiny coming out next month.
@hydeks
None of the console makers are really offering up great stuff on the stores right now. I still say this is better than what either Sony or Nintendo have had recently though. And the sales for Gold members have been really good in recent months.
@Tasuki
Probably not the intended purpose on MS' part but what I'm probably going to do is download Reach then if I can get $10 or so for the disc at Gamestop, put that towards The Master Chief Collection.
I actually enjoyed Crimson Dragon, i played a few hours of it and i really enjoyed it with online co-op. Now that diablo 3 is out i haven't touched crimson dragon.
@Emanouel
Crimson is enjoyable altho being the spiritual sucessor to Panzer Dragoon on the OGXB, more was expected. It's much more fun in co-op I agree! The issue with most here is that we had all of August to download it for free, offering 1 of 2 games for two months seems to be an unsavoury precident MS is setting with XB1 GwGold.
@HEADESTROYER4, i do agree that 1 game for two months is too long. If they don't have enough content to warrant two free xbox one games a month, then just release 1. Nobody needs 2 months to get a free game.
The other issue is that xbox one has less indie titles vs ps4, which limits the amount of free games they can give away each month.
