Welcome to your latest April 2025 update for Xbox Game Pass! We've got another two titles entering the library today, including a game that debuted to unbelievable reviews this week in the form of Blue Prince. It's undoubtedly a Game of the Year contender, which is pretty crazy considering most people still haven't heard of it yet!
NHL 25, of course, is joining as part of EA Play - and it's just a console release, which means it's only available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. Blue Prince is available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.
Here's a little more on what to expect from today's two new Xbox Game Pass additions:
Blue Prince (Series X|S, PC, Cloud) - 10am EDT / 3pm BST
Welcome to Mt. Holly, the mysterious manor with shifting rooms. In Blue Prince, you embark on a genre-defying experience, filled with a unique mix of mystery, strategy, and puzzles that weave together to create an unpredictable journey. Will your explorative steps lead you to the rumored Room 46?
Upon reaching a closed door in Mt. Holly, you decide what room appears behind it and each decision shapes your path as you navigate through the manor. Every door can reveal new and exciting chambers that contain their own unique challenges and secrets. But be careful how you draft, for each day the manor’s floor plan resets and the rooms you saw today may not be the same rooms you see tomorrow.
NHL 25 (Console) - Later Today
EA SPORTS™ NHL 25 is powered by ICE-Q, a new gameplay intelligence system that gives you the time and space to control every inch of the ice. Next-Gen Vision Control allows you to walk the blue line, square up to the puck carrier, stay locked on goal, and much more. Empowered AI completely overhauls Chel’s CPU player system, upping their authenticity with a refreshed playbook that improves powerplays and opens up the ice for better overall positioning and offensive opportunities.

Will definitely be playing Blueprints, there's too many people saying interesting things about it to ignore
Perfect game for game pass as I have no idea what to expect from it, if I'll like it, but with no risk ($) it's easy to at least try it out
Also looking forward to "Blueprints" (sic)
Will be checking out Blue Prince for sure. Been looking forward to that one since Debug covered it. Game Pass has been getting some great indie titles.
Really looking forward to blue prince.
Push just rated it a 7.... Just to show how out of touch their reviewers are...
"Blueprints" for sure and probably NHL. I haven't played a NHL game since 2015
Looks interesting enough, but I got too much to play at the moment to consider it anytime soon.
Yeah… Blueprints… is this a game about robbing a bank? 😎
Hopefully it'll get a GoG release at some point. (For the offline installers in case you're wondering).
Rare that there is a indie title on game pass that I am genuinely interested in but I'll definitely play it.
Haven't figured out why blue prints is supposed to be so good yet. Couple of hours on it and it's actually pretty annoying and I've only seen two basic puzzles so far. Probably missing something with the rooms, or maybe its just a play it a lot and unlock things to make runs better kind of thing. Glad I haven't paid for it so far...
