Avowed is finally available outside of early access this week, and as a result of the game's standard edition becoming available to purchase, the Xbox RPG has rocketed up the charts on PC platform Steam.

At the time of writing, the Obsidian title is number one in Steam's US sales charts - and here in the UK it's only behind the Steam Deck, which effectively makes it the number one game over here too. Globally, Avowed is slotting in at number three right now - which certainly isn't bad going either.

Alongside the above post, Xbox exec Aaron Greenberg has also taken to social media to thank fans for making this first-party title the number one selling game in America. The exec also notes a bunch of other regions where Avowed has climbed the charts on Steam:

Over on Xbox, the premium edition is the one climbing the charts in the US, but it's not quite broken into the top five just yet. We'd hazard a guess that plenty of folks on Xbox are accessing the standard edition via Game Pass, where the title arrived on day one yesterday.

It's great to see this sort of success for Avowed, then, and you can certainly see why Xbox and so many other publishers right now are keen to get their games on Steam. If first-party games are selling this well over there, it seems a very valuable part of Microsoft's current strategy.
