A prequel expansion to 2023 Xbox Game Pass hit Lies of P has been announced at Sony's State of Play this evening. Lies of P: Overture, as it's known, "takes you back in time to uncover the hidden stories of Krat" - and it's set to launch in Summer 2025.
Combined with the base game, developer Neowiz says this will be a 'Director's Cut' of sorts for Lies of P - with Overture "concluding the remarkable story arc" of its Xbox Game Pass soulslike.
"Lies of P: Overture is a dramatic prequel to the acclaimed Lies of P, transporting you to the city of Krat in its final days of haunting late-19th-century Belle Époque beauty. On the brink of the Puppet Frenzy massacre, you follow the legendary Stalker—a mysterious guide—through untold stories and chilling secrets. As Geppetto’s deadly puppet, you’ll journey through Krat and its surroundings, uncover hidden backstories, and face epic battles that shape the past and future of Lies of P."

This looks like a pretty meaty expansion, so we're expecting it to be a premium add-on the the base game and not included in XGP. At the time of posting, the main game is still in the Game Pass library - playable on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

I might give this game another bash via this version.
It looks so so good, I can’t wait to play!
Will check this out, prob. Although I couldn't beat the final puppet in the game for the true ending. Had to resort to the less good ending to see the credits and Easter egg at the end.
