You missed the Onimusha 2 Remaster. Even though Sony can't be bothered to admit that these games aren't exclusive in their stream lol.
Snake Easter, huh?
I hope I get to finally take that bunny down.
@Tyrant_T103 Neither do Xbox tell you there not exclusive till after
Shinobi back baby
Lies of P Overture looks incredible, I’m so hyped for that!
Borderlands 4 for September. Didn't Rockstar say that GTA would launch before that game? O_o
I'm so happy the Warriors game isn't exclusive.
Good to see all third parties supporting Xbox. I have never played Shinobi but I want to. Snake Eater remake looks great, especially compared to the 3DS version that I played, although I also have it on Xbox. I hope I'm not wrong, Sonic Racing Crossworlds looks like a Team Sonic Racing and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed hybrid, so the kind of baby I'd love. Onimusha 2 also looks interesting. Thanks for the roundup.
@Tyrant_T103 they didn't say they were exclusive either. That's how these things work for any of the box makers
@Kaloudz that could be a solid spot there my friend. Solid spot indeed.
Oh, the Digimon game too? And Tides of Annihilation? Niiiice.
@Lup yup came here to check for Warriors! Hell yea it looks awesome.
@K1LLEGAL
And it's a cheaper one!
Lies of P expansion!! Can't wait
@Kaloudz They did say that but there’s no way GTA 6 releases in 6 months or less, this means it’d either come out in November or 2026. My money is on 2026 ):
Btw, this event makes me appreciate the Dev_Direct from last month even more, while it showed less games it made a better job creating interest and it sold me on Doom to the point I already beat 2016 and Eternal after having them on the backlog for so long!
@IOI there were a couple announcements that had a narrator talking over it and Linda ruined the announcement
Abiotic Factor, Blue Prince & Darwin's Paradox (the squid game) are also confirmed for Xbox!
Xbox finally gets into a position to constantly release good exclusives on the regular ....and they go third party at the same time playstation exclusive line up and shows are constantly looking poor and reliant on remasters and ironically Xbox games and other third party ....can't remember the last time ps had a good show ....but still given what Xbox has decided to do.....ps6 will have to be my main console next gen ...just makes more sense
Wow that's a substantial number of games I half expected to have some sort of Sony exclusivity shenanigans bolted on. Super happy to see them launch on Xbox too.
And the DLC for Lies of P, Yesss!!!
Musta been a lame show. Shinobi sounds interesting!
Digimon Story Time heh
The show was great. I'm glad half the titles are listed here too - great games for everyone.
@IOI I thought the presentation was awful compared to Dev direct and Xbox summer showcase. That and Sony's continued commitment to 3rd person action games that take themselves far too seriously.
And a days gone remaster? Who's that for?
Really poor show. The game with the Octopus looks mildly interesting, that was it.
Tides of Annihilation looks super interesting too, such a relief that Sony didn’t steal that away in their cold, uncaring exclusivity claws.
Not sure why this is being compared to the Dev Direct as they are completely different types of show. One is a deep dive into games and the other is rapid fire trailer trailers with maybe an extra minute of talking.
Personally I though this was very good and there was 8-10 games shown that I am interested in so good times all round for the future of gaming.
@Coletrain And a days gone remaster? Who's that for?
You can insert any game title you want into that comment. Just because you are not interested doesn't mean no one is.
It's not State of Play but State of Third Party, I haven't counted the years without a good State of Play! They even managed to do another remake of a game that didn't need it, it's incredible!
Even Xbox manages to have more multiplatform games and at the same time more exclusive games than PlayStation, it's incredible. This shows that console sales have nothing to do with games, but only with marketing and media perception.
Also, for that reason, PlayStation players buy very few of their own games, it's just a default console, a console for casual gamers who know nothing but FIFA, Fortnite, and Call of Duty.
What is the interest in buying a console for 2 exclusive games per year that end up on PC anyway? Xbox is a better console beacause they simply make more games, due to the Game Pass, which is undoubtedly the best service on the market, due to Play Anywhere, the best backward compatibility, and also because in reality, they have more exclusive games than PlayStation, even if some (not all) are released a few years later on other consoles (and I don't necessarily want to wait 4 years to play the next Forza Horizon).
The upcoming exclusive games like Avowed, South of Midnight, or even Mecha Break look incredible, it seems like they are the only ones creating games!
@Ilyn I don't think you can just insert any game there at all. Days gone remastered is a shameless cash grab to see if there's any interest for a sequel, but they won't be able to make PS4 level numbers anyway.
Regardless, my point is more around the same thing as Horizon zero dawn remastered, they just don't need it. They already looked great on ps5 hardware and had 60fps upgrades.
List has been updated with all the latest confirmations - thanks to those who pointed some of the absentees out!
@IOI Sparken Hill Academy I did wonder that myself. Somewhere before September seems very, very optimistic. However, they could unveil at the summer showcase events and lead into a heavy end-Summer launch. Rockstar are renowned, as we know, for delays, but they very recently said that it's still on track for 2025 - and didn't correct their launch windows. So, it could still happen...
I think you've missed Split Fiction and Elden Ring from the list, @FraserG, unless that was intentional.
I thought the State of Play was okay; a decent looking game for every one that looked somewhat lame.
Luckily, the games that interest me the most, are also the ones that are coming to the Xbox, which is nice. Gives me even less reason to boot up my PS5!
The game I most looking forward to is the expansion for Lies of P. Loved the base game and cannot wait to dive into this.
The games that I am pretty interested in are:
I have a passing interest in:
I am also really looking forward to the remaster of Days Gone as it gives me another reason to jump into the game.
@Fiendish-Beaver Yeah, those omissions were intentional. Same with stuff like Monster Hunter Wilds.
Wouldn't really class them as reveals - just new trailers for games we've seen a lot of already.
@Coletrain The thing is who are you to decide if the game needs it or not. You can decide that for yourself but not for the entire industry.
Its a £10 upgrade for those who already own the game so if they want to buy it they can, if not they are not being forced to. This is not the Warcraft 3 scenario where the remaster actually bricked the original games functionality.
I see this a bit like The Last of US. I played 1 years back on the PS3 but never got around to number 2 as my backlog was huge. Now my backlog is clearer and I wanted to play the game, ahead of season 2, and I appreciated that as a new player I was able to buy TLoU 2 remastered as its the latest version.
Thats the whole point, if you have played the game you can choose to upgrade or ignore it, you lose nothing. If you haven't you can get the most current version, or if you really want the old version just grab a disc copy since their are plenty available.
The only thing that is questionable is removing the old version from the digital stores completely in favour of the latest version. Just leave both versions up and let people choose.
@fatpunkslim " 2 exclusive games per year".
Your giving Sony to much credit, it's only been one First Party AAA exclusive a year for years now.
@Ilyn I only got a PS5 last year, first Sony console since PS2, so I'll pick up the Days Gone remaster!
Sony shows are poor compared to Xbox because they don't have enough games and variety and many of the releases are paid remasters that don't even look much different, compared to the PS3-PS4 remasters, some of which I bought.
Sony is unable to feed PS with enough games this generation, and it seems that PS5 owners don't buy as many copies as Sony wants or needs. This is why they are porting everything to PC and that's the wise thing to do.
PS5 is playing it safe and repeating the PS4 patterns, but not even the few exclusives that Sony releases manage to sell that much, with a few exceptions like Spider-Man 2, nor legendary third-party exclusives like Square Enix's.
Some people are apparently concerned about third parties abandoning Xbox, but every article and news show that all third parties are supporting Xbox and that the number of console sold is not as important as engagement, software sales and subscribers. The advantage that Microsoft has is that they are ahead of the necessary strategy of expanding the ecosystem beyond consoles, because a stagnant console market is not enough, no matter how much you market your console nor how popular your brand is.
@Ilyn who are you to claim the industry needs it? See how easy it is to spin.
Also, hard to compare a remaster of one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time to Days Gone.
I'm happy for you if you truly wanted this, people enjoying games is always good, and you're right it's a harmless upgrade really, but it's such a weird choice from Sony. I'm sure Bend studios already said Sony weren't going to greenlight a sequel too.
@fatpunkslim Last year alone there was The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (GOTY nominee), Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, Black Myth: Wukong (GOTY nominee), Astro Bot (GOTY winner), Silent Hill 2, Until Dawn, Lego Horizon Adventures and Infinity Nikki released on PS5 that I can't play on Xbox. And what did Xbox have last year that I can't play on PS5? A disappointing Hellblade sequel and Indy - the one Xbox exclusive PS5 owners might have been interested in is coming to PS5 soon anyway (as will Hellblade and the rest).
That's why one sells and one doesn't.
Such awful bias here it's ridiculous. The bulk of these titles are 3rd parties for Xbox too, as this article explains, so if you want to bash em, then you have nothing to play all year except MS 1st parties. At least there's some some good titles from MS this year so if you genuinely don't care for any of the 3rd party games coming you will have something to play.
This was a great show that showed a really large swathe of games all coming to consoles soon. Any genuine game player without a drum to bang would have found a few titles to be happy for..
Removed - unconstructive
@Kaloudz I remember that Rockstar kept insisting that RDR2 would indeed come out in 2017 until June when they announced it’d come out in Spring 2018 to later further delay it again to October 2018, I’m still hopeful but everything is pointing towards a delay.
@IOI Yeah to be fair, you're probably right. And Rockstar can afford it more than anyone, really. They have a guaranteed heavy hitter that the masses will buy no matter what.

Is there a way to speak with you by direct message, @FraserG?
@Fiendish-Beaver You can contact us via our form here https://www.purexbox.com/contact
@Coletrain I don't think that Days Gone Remastered is even a test to gauge interest in a potential sequel. Wolverine and Saros aren't coming out this year, and who knows when Fairgame$, Marathon and project Gummy Bears will see the light of day, or if they won't get cancelled before they even release.
So I think Days Gone Remastered is a barrel-scraping last-ditch attempt by Sony to have something come out this year because its push into live-service has gone tits up and anything else they might have in the pipeline is either years out or in pre-production.
@Markatron84 yeah that's fair. I haven't seen any sales figures on the HZD remaster upgrade so maybe it's just low cost to produce and profitable.
Still, I'm glad Xbox doesn't bother with this kind of thing. For example, I played HZD on a PS4, it was ok, but wouldn't need to replay it remastered
