It's now been a few months since Lies of P debuted on Xbox Game Pass to an excellent reception back in September, and according to the developer behind the title, that Game Pass partnership worked out brilliantly for all parties.
Lies of P game director Jiwon Choi recently sat down with GameRant to discuss this, telling the outlet that Xbox Game Pass is "one of the best options for us to get the game into the hands of a large community of players".
"The Xbox team ran a wide range of marketing campaigns for Lies of P, and I cannot reveal the exact number here, but a huge number of gamers have played our game through Xbox Game Pass. I believe both parties earned a very good result from this collaboration."
Despite being a Game Pass title from day one, Lies of P also managed to sell more than one million copies in less than a month, so clearly things ended up working out very well for the team over at Neowiz Games.
It's another of those titles that's fighting for a top ten place in our Pure Xbox Game of the Year rankings right now as well! The votes for that have now closed, so we'll let you know if made the list on Christmas Day...
How are you getting on with Lies of P right now? Tell us down in the comments section below.

Just finished NG+ and thinking on starting NG++ at some point, and my lvl230 character is ready for the DLC too😁. This game must be the biggest surprise of the year for me...
Played it, finished it. Didn't think it was anything new or great but I enjoyed it.
Been meaning to play this ..but to swamped with games...barely touched Spiderman 2...haven't finished Starfield...got Arizona sunshine 2 and resident evil 4 on vr....and just bought Alan wake 2 and Talos principle 2 today FFS ...and many other games I ideally would have liked to of played FFS lol
This was a fantastic game. I made an effort to complete it before focusing on Starfield.
The game is amazing. It just goes to show that if a game is good, and has the right marketing, it will sell.
Ya love to hear it!
One of those games I want to play but never actually do it. Everytime I'm ready for a new game I consider it briefly before choosing something else.
@StylesT I feel that! Too many games, not enough time. Especially this year.
This is an exemple of why xbox have a hared time with media bias
This article wont be shared in other sites but if a game is day 1 and fail on gamepass everyone will post on how bad is gamepass for the industry
Beat the first area…after a lotta struggling. Then got maybe 1/3-1/2 way through second area. Then put down. Was def an interesting game and my first soulslike. I plan to revisit…just needed a break from dying 🤣
GOTY 2023 for me.
Great year for souls likes, lies, lords, remnant 2, wo long, along with some good indie souls games like the last faith and blasphemous 2. Obviously fromsofts games are on another level but Im not a souls snob and almost always enjoy the copy cat souls games with a few exceptions such as code vein which was really boring
I don't do Soul type games but I liked the look of it and gave it a chance seeing it was on Game Pass, definitely my Goty.
I gave it a good go but got stuck on one of those rock hard policemen with the truncheon. Walked away for a bit to get back in shape with Dark Souls 3 but I think I will try it again in the near future.
