As CD Projekt Red focuses on its next big game in The Witcher 4, the former Witcher 3 director and select other industry veterans at the new Polish team 'Rebel Wolves' are now gearing up for their debut title backed by Bandai Namco.

If you haven't seen anything about it just yet, it's called The Blood of Dawnwalker and is described as being the "first chapter" in the company's brand-new role-playing saga. Similar to The Witcher 3, it will be a single-player open-world title, featuring "dark fantasy AAA RPG" action, and include a "strong focus on story and narrative".

As you can see in this first-look cinematic (including what appears to be a small bit of gameplay), you'll engage in all sorts of thrilling combat as you explore this new world. You can also hear the Witcher rifts in this cinematic soundtrack. The character you'll take control of in Dawnwalker is named 'Coen' - an individual who gains vampiric powers, turning his life upside down:

"You play as Coen, a young man turned into a #Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Use your skills and combine vampiric strength with human resolve as you take on a quest to save the ones you love. Face your foes - be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself. But remember - the real evil may bask in the sun's light, and the most loyal of allies could lurk under the cover of night."

This upcoming release has already been confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, and while there's no release date just yet, we'll be getting a full gameplay reveal in 'Summer 2025'.
