Sports games aside, 2K tends to take its time when releasing big games on Xbox, and a new financial update from the company reiterates some of its planned release windows for a batch of major Xbox titles.
Of course, minds immediately wander to GTA 6 here - and there's been no change in that regard. The Rockstar Games title is still firmly penned for "fall of calendar 2025", which is more specific than the majority of games namedropped in this fiscal update.
Elsewhere, we have Civilization VII set for February 11th, WWE 2K25 coming in fiscal year 2025 (sometime before next April), Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country planned for fiscal year 2026, and then of course, Ken Levine's BioShock-like Judas coming whenever it's darn ready (or TBA as it's labelled here).
GTA aside, we're particularly excited about Mafia and Judas in this lineup - although both games look a ways off right now. Mafia was only just revealed by the team, and Levine has been tinkering with Judas for what feels like forever at this stage - even if a recent round of previews for the game sounded fantastic.
Anyway, 2K looks like it has a pretty fantastic lineup on its hands in the coming years - with GTA 6 in particular set to be an absolute phenomenon when it launches in Fall 2025.
Which of these games are you most excited to play on Xbox? Tell us in the poll down below!
Which Of These 2K Titles Are You Most Excited About? (207 votes)

Judas, hands down. It looks fantastic and I love Bioshock.
I know GTA6 will win this poll, but I haven't even played GTA5... 🤣
GTA6, Judas, Mafia.
Always surprised by how many people seem to love Borderlands!
Weirdly, Mafia over GTA.
Not saying GTA6 is going to be "worse" than Mafia, I know GTA6 is going to be great and very impressive.
Just when I look at that list my brain is going "ooo Mafia".
I might be confusing myself here, since companies all have their own stupid 'financial years' that are different than calendar years. I'm reading this as Take-Two's financial year 2026 is from April 2025-March 2026, and would include GTA6, Borderlands 4, and Mafia? Because that is an awesome list of games to all be coming out within a year.
Voted for Borderlands in the poll
Judas for me. The rest I have zero interest in buying.
Only WWE for me.
Borderlands 4 for me.
Mafia for me. Lost interest in GTA a good while ago.
Red Dead Redemption 2 next gen version. Oh wait thats not on there cause they can’t be bothered with a 60fps patch, so i can play my favorite game ever made in better performance. Jokes aside i am looking forward to GTA6, sure it will be 30 fps until the next consoles come along. But they will upgrade GTA, that i am more convenient in than RDR.
I want to be excited for Judas, but I was once excited for Bioshock Infinite.
Seeing GTA 6 and especially Borderlands 4 at the top is disheartening. Not unexpected, just disheartening. Two of the most overrated and unfun series ever.
Also, they're publishing and giving updates on Judas, but what about Bioshock 4?
@Fiendish-Beaver not missing much to be honest.
The fun factor of the PS2 games is completely gone in favour of a "realistic" movement system, that, coupled with the still abysmal controls and average at best gameplay, make for a very clunky experience.
The story is embarrassingly bad, with no satire or bite whatsoever, and not even a shred of coherence.
I could go on but I think I gave you a rough idea lol
Civ 7!!! I cannot be more excited for a game. Civ 6 was god tier and is my most played game ever. I don't think I could have a discussion about my favorite game of all time without mentioning civ 6.
I can't wait for those nights where I say I will play a few rounds of civ and wonder how 6 hours went by. Those days at work when my mind is focused on the random AI nation that settled too close and has a strong army.
Where's the "none of the above" option?
Where’s the all of the above? I voted for Borderlands but Judas was a close 2nd…
Forget GTA, I want Judas. I hope that one’s sooner rather than further away.
@themightyant I’ve never understood the love for Borderlands either. If I made a top 10 list for most hyped games that I disliked the most strongly when I played them, Borderlands 2 would certainly make the list.
Yeah, no, not for me, ta. I'd probably have some interest in Judas, but 2K's treatment of Roll7 angered me so much that it'll probably be a few years before I'm willing to give 2K money.
