Xbox Japan Takes Us Through A Tokyo Game Show Journey, Featuring Phil Spencer

Earlier this week, we spotted Phil Spencer re-emerging on social media with a bunch of TGS 2024 content, and now Xbox Japan has pulled back the curtain on the Xbox boss's trip to the Japanese gaming convention.

Posting on Xbox Wire, the Japanese arm of the site has shared an inside look at what Phil, alongside Xbox President Sarah Bond, have been getting up to over there. There are some fantastic images of the two of them interacting with developers and fans over in Tokyo - with some cool stories about the trip and the games they played also featured.

The result was a 100-85 victory for Sarah's team, led by herself, but the Phil team also had a great performance.

Phil was snapped playing some Monster Hunter Wilds as well, ahead of Capcom's big launch in early 2025. The other games mentioned as part of the Xbox trip are Metaphor: Refantazio, DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake, FANTASIAN Neo Dimension and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream - it sounds like a busy old trip for Team Xbox!

The full Xbox Wire post is definitely worth a look, these are some pretty candid accounts of the trip and we don't usually get this sort of thing from Xbox - especially not in recent times! It's also nice to see Phil and Sarah getting along and being the faces of Xbox in Japan after recent accounts of them clashing when they first started working together.
