Back in the summer, developer Grasshopper finally announced a Halloween release date for Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered - and today we have some extended Xbox Series X footage ahead of tomorrow's big launch.
Our video producer Craig has been checking this one out on Xbox Series X, to see how the team's remaster efforts are shaping up on Microsoft's console. This is still very much a video game from the 360 era, but with 4K/60FPS playback on Xbox Series X, it's certainly a lot nicer to look at and smoother to play in this 2024 remaster.
"The game takes players on a wild ride with demon hunter Garcia Hotspur, as he kicks demon ass and makes his way through the darkest depths of Hell, lighting up the darkness with his burning passion on a mission to rescue his true love from an insidious demon king."
Of course, the game is also playable on Xbox Series S as well as Xbox One, although the Series X version is the one to go for if you want full 60FPS gameplay at 4K resolution. Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered launches across all platforms on October 31st, 2024.

Love that so many A-AA games are coming back. Killer 7 next please.
I've almost finished my first run. Currently on Act 5-2 (it goes up to 5-5). I've really enjoyed it. It doesn't look great, truth be told, but it is still good, silly fun...
Edit: And that's the first run finished! Still very enjoyable. I'm not going to start another run straight away because I have Dragon Age pre-ordered, but I will happily play it again at some point...
I remember unlocking all the achievements on the 360 version of the game with my old account.
it's a thing a rarely do but I had so much fun with this game.
Likewise, @Pigrotto. I rarely get the full 1000g, partly because I don't always find a game that I enjoy sufficiently (or that I'm good enough at!). However, I did get every achievement in the game when it first released, and I even went through the game a fourth time on the hardest difficulty despite there being no achievement attached to it! That's a sure sign of an enjoyable game...
