Bethesda this week celebrated 'Fallout Day' - a celebration of all things related to its online multiplayer experience Fallout 76.
This includes new announcements, sales and upcoming events. We've put together this roundup to provide a quick rundown of everything in case you didn't catch the full broadcast. Enjoy!
New Update - Gleaming Depths
In this raid update you'll descend into a mysterious underground research lab located in the Ash Heap where the Enclave once studied radioactive Ultracite. Bring weapons, friends, armour and "a lot" of stimpaks as you face off against the Ultracite Terror.

Four Star Legendary Gear
Get ready to craft four-star legendary gear!
Player Titles
When you complete quests or challenges you'll be rewarded with player titles. They're made up of two parts and can be combined to create all sorts of unique titles.
C.A.M.P. Pets
Your C.A.M.P. will now allow you to add pets. This includes the addition of a dog and a cat:
"These faithful animals hang out at your C.A.M.P. and can interact with special pet furniture, such as a pile of bones for the dog. You can even pet them and customize accessories like their collars."

Play As A Ghoul
Perhaps most excitingly, you'll now be able to play as a Ghoul! Here's a bit about what you can expect from this Fallout "first":
"Playing as a ghoul opens up many new playstyles with the addition of ghoul-specific Perk cards and a new Feral meter. You won't need to worry about hunger or thirst but remember, some people and factions just don't take kindly to ghouls."
Fallout Sales, Free-To-Play Event
Apart from this, Bethesda announced a 76 free-to-play event between October 22nd and 29th. There are also some free items up for grabs. The game is currently on sale across multiple platforms including Xbox.
- Fallout 4 (GOTY) - 60% off
- Fallout 4 DLC/Season Pass – up to 60% off
- Other Fallout franchise games – up to 75% off

I will go back to 76 when playing as a ghoul has been added as it should add some meaningful game play options.
I've played for hundreds of hours on both Series X and PS5 and loved most of it. However, a graphic overhaul would make such a difference. It still looks like a transition from X360 to XONE (or PS3 to PS4 if you prefer) with washed-out and blurry textures and a bland color palette. I'm not asking for STARFIELD-level graphics, but at least somewhere in between. One can always wish for...
It was just 76 stuff.
I can't say I was underwhelmed, it was more of a 'extreme let down' that not even Fallout 3 remaster was ready for the 1st ever 'Fallout Day'.
What was shown was more of a "E3" update for 76 not a big day announcement. Which I'm sure will be fun but ....yeah. 🤦
Letdown after letdown after letdown at Microsoft. Never ends.
They fix VATS in Fallout 4 yet? No? I sleep.
Obligatory 76 is pretty good and getting better post.
