Xbox has now confirmed the first batch of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass in early October 2024, with five games in total set to depart in a couple of weeks' time - including the likes of Scorn and Everspace 2.
Here's what's leaving Xbox Game Pass in the very near future:
Date | Game | Platform |
October 15 | Dyson Sphere Program | PC |
October 15 | Everspace 2 | Console, PC, Cloud |
October 15 | From Space | Console, PC, Cloud |
October 15 | F1 Manager 2023 | Console, PC, Cloud |
October 15 | Scorn | Console, PC, Cloud |
As always, it's possible to get a discount of at least 20% on these games before they leave Xbox Game Pass, and you never know what kind of reductions might show up in the various Xbox Store sales over the coming weeks.
It's disappointing to be losing these without a doubt, but we did also get treated to the first batch of Xbox Game Pass titles for October 2024 today, which includes the excellent Sifu as well as the popular deck-building game Inscryption.

Fortunately, nothing for me this time.
I still have a lot of backlog from Game Pass but this time I'm good.
I'm looking forward to trying Sifu. I'll probably try the BO6 campaign as well, but I really wish they added the others first. I played BO1 back in the day, but not the others.
I think Scorn is pretty awesome - just have to play it like a stealth game and avoid combat.
I thought scorn was some how in some way a first party type game? Surprised see that leave.
So I’ll quickly have to play Scorn which has been on my backlog for ages. Luckily it seems like this game should be beatable in one weekend.
Edit: Already quit. Terrible game. Don’t feel like walking around identical rooms all evening at 1 km/h without having a clue what to do.
I liked Everspace 2 a lot for the gameplay but the story once again was very underwhelming.
@Darude84 Yup, pretty much my exact thoughts on the game.
@GuyinPA75 not really. It wasn't a game by the XBox Game Studios. It's a bit like with Silent Hill 2 on PS5. It was exclusive for some time.
Neither the less, the game wasn't good.
Everspace 2 is the kind of game where it could never really hold my interest, especially when I got games like No Man's Sky and Starfield that actually have planets I can land on and a lot more depth. I think the roguelike elements to the first game was what gave it it's own appeal, which is lost in this sequel. Still, it can be fun for some space combat as it's really focused on that.
Scorn was a really interesting looking game with a cool looking art style but I hated playing it. It's like they tried to make it look like it could have been a fun FPS when in reality it's just a really slow and morbid/depressing first person puzzle game.
With the F1 manager games it's like I really like F1, but I only really enjoy it as a game when I can race the cars.
I had been planning to play scorn and everspace 2. I’m screwed.
1000g scorn was a good game obviously most of that is because the art style in the game is continually gorgeous.
@Darude84 wise decision. As much I would love to love it, their "less is more" approach turned me off big time. The premise is great. Execution, not so much
