Dragon Age: The Veilguard hits Xbox Series X and S this Halloween, and a couple of weeks out from launch, we have the game's file size revealed as preloading starts to go live.
Regardless of whether you've bought the game or not, you can now pre-install The Veilguard on your console via the Xbox mobile app. The game is coming in at roughly 92GB here, so it might be worth getting it downloaded and ready to go ahead of launch. Here's how to do it if you haven't purchased a digital version yet:
- Go to the Xbox mobile app
- Hit the magnifying glass, and then search for "Dragon Age: The Veilguard"
- Select "Download To Console"

The launch is landing on October 31st, when developer BioWare unleashes its first Dragon Age game in roughly a decade on Xbox. The team's previous DA release was Inquisition, which went on to become a hit for the team and publisher EA.

And, from what we've seen of The Veilguard so far - we're hoping for similar things with this new release. During Summer Game Fest we got a nice early preview of what BioWare has been cooking up here, and that's kept us suitably excited for the full game's arrival later this month.
Is this one you're keen to get installed and ready to go? Tell us in the comments!

Would be nice knowing when the review goes up 🙂
@ironcrow86 Too early for deets on that sadly!
I've re launched dragon age inquisition... Really a cool game (with an FPS boost).
i'll check this one... But not after 4 to 5 months... And few updates (like Always in this business...)
@johndoe89 It really sucks, and as I'm not a dev, I have a hard time understanding why this has become so damn hard.
Basically Every Single game is not going to be the same as Day 1 after 6 months.
Sure maybe they fix a good portion of it, but most games don't seem to hit their final versions until a year after release.
By that time most of my interest has probably waned, and I might give them 15-20, 2 years later
Just sick of it
Don’t blow your preload when you see the size of that… file.
If this is good I’ll pay it when it’s on ea play game pass or whatever. It looks awful to me 😂 but some people seem really positive on it.
I'm looking forward to this one, day one for me.
@jesse_dylan it looks terrible. I don't know doesn't seem like a dragon age game. 1&3 were really good 2 was disappointing.
@VisitingComet1 yeah I never played 3 but always meant to. Didn’t make it through 2! I did enjoy the first, even tho I kind of hated the combat. And hated that it was supposed to be the “origin” of a new series and kinda didn’t live up to that
Installing it now and keeping an open mind. Not sure the cartoony visuals are doing it any favours, but I’m prepared to dismiss that if other elements are strong.
Currently putting a few hours into DAI for tue first time and there’s a lot to like about it.
We have now more reviews: levels are "basics", graphicals are very cartoon, and the game teach lessons about...wokism and pronouns. Animation is basic but... There is a real work on backgrounds, interface,... So yeah, a lot of efforts for this product... Sadly no test from a panel of players Before the launching day... And the competition is fierce on video games right now.
Well... Thanks but no thanks for me. I pass but have a good one for the players of this dragon age sequel. I fear the worst for Mass Effect....
