We have another Xbox Game Pass update today, folks! Annapurna's action-RPG Ashen is now available in the Game Pass library, as we near the end of October 2024's new additions to the service.
We'll throw a summary of this new Game Pass RPG down below, which is available now for subscribers.
Ashen (Console, PC, Cloud)
"Ashen is an open world co-op action RPG about a wanderer in search of a place to call home. This is a world where nothing lasts, no matter how tightly you cling to it. At its core, Ashen is about forging relationships. Players can guide those they trust to their camp - together, you might just stand a chance."

Would be great if we got the dark souls games on gamepass instead of every soulslike game ever made that's not from from software quality over quantity!
@Ricky-Spanish So this is souls like game?
Actually was excited to play it. Now will never play it.
@GuyinPA75 It is unfortunately for you but still give it a go you could like it maybe?
It’s a good game. I enjoyed my time with it when playing a few years ago. Don’t expect a masterpiece such as Elden Ring, but go in with expectations set that is very much a AA tier game. It’s not as polished or in-depth as Lies of P, but it’s absolutely still worth a look for fans of the soulslike genre. Took me about 20 hours to finish.
However it’s just such a shame it never got FPS Boost treatment. The game would really shine at 60fps, but sadly the game is locked to the Xbox One X performance profile. Having said that I originally played the game on Switch (it was a time before I bought my XSX), so the Xbox version would still be so so so much better than that!
@Ricky-Spanish Wish I could. Just completely abhor all souls like games.
If they just put a story mode in those so not have try and die for 80 hours just to advance 5 mins in the story, I'd buy and play all those in heartbeat.
Just not find any fun or enjoyment rolling around on the ground thousands of times only to get one hit and start the level over again. If wanted to be frustrated beyond comprehension and feel like making zero progress, I'd just go to work.
I’ve bought and played Ashen before. I do like it but man it’s seriously hard for me to complete.
Is it one of those games where single player is watered down? Prob not for me.
Seems 2nd time come to XGP
@GuyinPA75 Haha, I thought the same when I looked at it on the game store. Read "action rpg" first and was optimistic but then saw "souls like" and lost all interest. I like actual Souls games but generally have very little time for all the imitators.
