It's been a long old road for Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, hasn't it? First announced almost four years ago, the game has since had development completely restarted by Ubisoft Montreal - and now another internal Ubi studio has joined in on the project.
As announced on social media this week, Ubisoft Toronto is now helping out with this new rendition of Xbox classic The Sands of Time. The Canadian developer is also working on the upcoming Splinter Cell Remake - and they were quick to remind fans that this work is still ongoing alongside their new Prince of Persia development duties.
The last we heard about The Sands of Time Remake was in an unofficial capacity back in April. In-the-know reporter Tom Henderson told us all to "forget everything you know" about Ubisoft's remake so far, as the project has apparently been restarted from scratch in the last couple of years. Now, it's getting even more support from Ubisoft's Toronto-based team.
Anyway, we're hoping to actually see something on this game pretty soon, as the only official footage available publicly is from when Ubisoft Pune was heading up development over in India - prior to Ubi Montreal stepping in and taking over. Ubisoft Forward is mere days away now, so maybe it shows up there? Let's find out!
