What thing? Oh, The Thing.
Looks decent could be good
@Yousef- it’s the thing
I am incredible excited for this one.
Looks more of a port - with settings and resolution turned up for 'modern' hardware. Doesn't look as if they've done any 'work' on the game - improving textures, character models, faces environmental detail, lighting etc etc..
It was a good game but could be really hard in a few places.
@BAMozzy Yep, as a huge fan this is a little bit disappointing, I wish it had been a full remake. My backlog is far too big to spend time on remasters.
ew, thats what we called our privates as young kids lol
@TJ81 I'm actually glad it's a remaster. This game deserves to be modernized and preserved. Hopefully, if it's successful it could lead to a new game being made.
Looks rough
Very much looking forward to playing it, but lets hope the controls are being modernized at the very least
So excited for this! Has long been in my favorites from the original Xbox! Glad to see it getting some love. Many other original Xbox games need the same treatment!
I played the game back when it came out and it has top tier atmosphere and some neat mechanics. I would like to play it again and beat it this time.
@BAMozzy
So a remaster?
@stefan771 No - a Remaster can be so much more than just a port to modern hardware. Settings 'turned' up is the same game it was when it released with 'PC' settings on max - just 'ported' to modern console that can now run it at 4k with the settings turned up.
Its not like Skyrim remastered for example it looks like a 'lazy' port. It looks like the OG version running on BC with a res boost turned on rather than a 'remaster' of an old game. Some remasters will use much higher quality models, textures, lighting etc to bring then up to date. This looks dated
