Forza Horizon 4 might be six years old now, but clearly there's still so much love for it. Earlier this week, it was announced that the Playground Games racer would be getting delisted this December, and this prompted a massive 80%-off sale on Steam which has resulted in a lot of purchases and even a record being broken!
Looking at the Steam "Top Sellers" chart, Forza Horizon 4 is sitting in third behind the Steam Deck and Elden Ring. According to SteamDB, it's actually the #1 title in the "Top Currently Global Selling Steam Games" chart!
Better yet, the game reached a new "all-time peak" of concurrent players earlier today, and the record has been continually broken over the past few hours (it stands at 71,598 right now). Here's a look when it was at 65,265 players:
As mentioned, a massive sale has prompted all of these sales on Steam (alongside the news of this December's delisting, of course), and the good news is that Forza Horizon 4 for Xbox will be getting a sale soon as well!
It was announced earlier this week that Forza Horizon 4 will receive multiple sales ahead of its delisting in December, and an example was given as July 14th for the Xbox Store version. Here's the confirmation:
"From this date forward we will offer different discounts for Forza Horizon 4, like the one currently active on Steam (at the time of publishing); we will also have a sale in the Xbox Store on 7/14."
So, if you're playing on Xbox and you want to own Forza Horizon 4 permanently, don't feel the need to buy it just yet! Plus, keep in mind that active, full-paid Xbox Game Pass members who have bought DLC for FH4 in the past will apparently be receiving a free token for the game in the coming days (via the Xbox Message Center).
If you've somehow never played it before, give it a try on Game Pass - it's arguably even better than Forza Horizon 5!
