Following this week's news about dynamic backgrounds being improved over at Microsoft HQ, Xbox Insiders are also being treated to another neat quality-of-life feature; this time in regards to cloud gaming on other devices.
As spotted by The Verge's Tom Warren, a new Xbox Cloud Gaming save feature has started to appear for members of the Insider Program. Basically, the service is allowing users to directly manage save files on other devices like Samsung TVs and web browsers - adding more flexibility for users who are cloud gaming outside of Xbox consoles.
Microsoft says this feature will "help you get out of a bad spot or start your game over again" when playing on Xbox Cloud Gaming. Currently, the feature also lets users know that you need to have played a game in the last 30 days for it to show up in your 'manage games' area. Warren notes that the feature is live now for Xbox Insiders, but some replies to the below tweet suggest that it could already be live for some non-Insider users too.
A couple of months back, Microsoft announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming now accounts for over 10% of overall Xbox playtime, as the team continues to add new features to the service.
Is this something you'll be taking advantage of when it's live on your account? Tell us down below!

I would love more transparency with what is saved to the cloud in general. Currently the only option is to delete local data and/or cloud data for a game. It'd be good to be able to check on whether local data is currently being synced and what the progress is, and also to be able to roll back to a previous cloud save if there's a corruption problem. At the moment it's all "black box" and you just have to trust it without knowing what it's doing.
My hopes of a quick resume feature for cloud are dashed again...
@JoyfulFire XBOX always has been a case of that you need to go into the actual game to figure out what is taking up space in your save. The whole situation where they had to rework Cloud Saves in the last few months shows quite how much the current save system doesn't quite work.
@ValentineMeikin
That is factually incorrect. On X360 I can go in and manage all game saves. Cloud, hard drive, and USB for all my 360 games. It was the dark era of XBO that MS started to make this opaque to the gamer.
