You may recall that back in mid-November, the retro cloud streaming service Antstream Arcade announced that it would be losing 27 games due to the end of its Warner Bros. partnership, but now it's regaining another 27 games (at least on Xbox) in the form of a new deal with Bandai Namco.
All of these games have been available with Antstream Arcade before, but some have never properly shown up on Xbox. The reason for this was an "unforeseen licensing issue" back at launch in July, which has clearly now been worked out.
Here's a mention of that "licensing issue" from a few months ago:
So, this new deal sees the likes of Pac-Man, Galaga and Splatterhouse hit the library on Xbox! Here's the full list:
- Baraduke
- Bosconian
- Dig Dug
- Dig Dug 2
- Dragon Spirit
- Galaga
- Galaga 88
- Gaplus
- Grobda
- Mappy
- Metro Cross
- Motos
- New Rally X
- Pac and Pal
- Pac-Man
- Pac-Mania
- Phozon
- Rally X
- Rolling Thunder
- Rompers
- Sky Kid
- Splatterhouse
- Super Pac-Man
- Super Xevious
- The Tower of Druaga
- Toy Pop
- Xevious
Here's what the CEO of Antstream, Steve Cottam, had to say about this in a press release last week:
"Bandai Namco Entertainment games are some of the most culturally important games in gaming’s history and having support from forward-thinking companies like Bandai Namco Entertainment is critical to the efforts of game preservation that will help ensure that arcade classics can continue to be enjoyed by the next generation of gamers through innovative services like Antstream Arcade”.
In addition to these Bandai Namco titles, Antstream Arcade has also added some other great games on Xbox recently including the PS1 classic Glover! We've covered the full list of Antstream titles elsewhere on Pure Xbox:

I'm already Subbed and I'm thinking of getting the lifetime version
Love this service! It’s brilliant!
This is not on my region anymore. Anyone know what would have happened if I had bought a lifetime suscription?
I have terrible lag in antstream. Some games like Pinball Fantasies are unplayable. I connect wirelessly to a 100 fiber line. Does anybody else have the same problem?
I kept saying where was rolling thunder (from day 1) and splatter house. I came across them both the other day by mistake!
Antstream is great, I have used it for a while, pre Xbox launch. I highly recommend. I am a lifetime subscriber on Xbox too.
However, it did miss the Namco games badly on Xbox, and the loss of the Warner games was a huge blow. This goes some way to making things right, so thanks to them.
I'd really like the Warner games back though, especially:
720
Championship Sprint
Defender
Gauntlet
Gauntlet 2
Robotron: 2084
Smash TV
Spyhunter
Stargate (Defender 2)
Super Sprint
Total Carnage
Wizard of War
I'm sure many others will miss some of their other games too, but for me these being gone leaves a massive hole.
@Amigator Nope. For me on Xbox, mobile and PC it works great, both on wired and wifi.
I got the 12 months for this, but a smidge disappointed, would love some Sega games or more Taito. seen these Namco games time and again!
Do they have a trial so I can test how well it works with my connection?
Yes! Yes! and YEEESSSS! Love Antstream, play it regularly... love this new update.
