We've yet to hear about the majority of June 2024's Xbox Game Pass lineup (Microsoft appears to be waiting until next Tuesday for that), but last night, it looked like a major addition had joined the list courtesy of Atlus.
In an Instagram post about the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Xbox Game Pass was mentioned amongst the platforms that the game is coming to, which attracted plenty of attention across social media:
However, before you get too excited, the Instagram video was deleted shortly after, and Atlus apparently confirmed to the outlet Gematsu that it was a "template mistake" - seemingly suggesting Xbox Game Pass isn't on the cards here.
Obviously we'll know for sure when Microsoft reveals the next batch of Xbox Game Pass titles for June, but in the meantime, it's best to assume that Shin Megami Tensi V: Vengeance won't be on Game Pass... at least not for now.
Will you be playing SMTV: Vengeance on Xbox this month? Tell us down in the comments section below.

Perhaps it was a slip that'll be confirmed during the xbox showcase in June. I interpreted Atlus's response as they made a mistake, but didn't outright say it wasn't coming soon to GP. Guess we'll find out soon enough!
It's probably coming. P3R hit GP, after all, and that's a bigger series. Atlus also has a history of accidentally leaking announcements via Instagram.
Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was supposed to be announced at the showcase and just was slipped early (for a bit).
Sega's games are always welcome. 👍🏻
Considering all the Persona games have been on GP of late, seems to be a longer term deal for GP games, so the leak does sound like accidental confirmation meant for a "big reveal" for the showcase.
Jeez. Good thing I didn’t see this and cancel my pre-order, or I’d be annoyed! Would be pretty sweet to have it on GP day 1 tho.
Not all their games do. Unicorn Overlord didn’t; and like a dragon: infinite wealth didn’t, despite the entire rest of the series being on there (almost); and metaphor refantazio doesn’t seem to be (yet).
Here’s to hoping SMTV and metaphor both are tho. Save me some money for sure!
