It's a busy time for Xbox Game Pass right now, and that includes in terms of DLC! Over the past few days, two of the best co-op games on the service have received new announcements of DLC that will be released in April and May.
Firstly, Remnant 2 will be getting a DLC pack called "The Forgotten Kingdom" on April 23rd. Launching for $9.99 (or included with a special DLC Bundle / the game's Ultimate Edition), this will introduce a new storyline, dungeons, bosses, creatures and more. You can check out additional details at the bottom of the article.
Vampire Survivors is also being treated to a Contra-themed DLC pack on May 9th called "Operation Guns". This retails for just £1.99 / $2.49 and allows you to blast through stages inspired by the classic Konami series.
In other Xbox Game Pass news, the upcoming 33 Immortals is also getting a Closed Beta this May ahead of its XGP arrival later this year. You can sign up for it now on the game's official website, with the beta set to begin on May 24th.
Let's get back to those two DLC packs though - you can find more information about each of them below:
Remnant 2 - The Forgotten Kingdom (April 23)
"In this upcoming DLC for REMNANT II, players will piece together the forgotten history of the lost tribe of Yaesha as they attempt to quell the vengeful wrath of an ancient stone spirit called Lydusa. Navigate the lingering traces of torment, treachery, and death that haunt the land's once proud ziggurats, as Lydusa's living stones wander the crumbling remnants of an ancient civilization in search of fresh blood.
In a brand-new storyline, players must uncover the secrets of the lost tribe by exploring a mysterious new area within the world of Yaesha. In this strange new location, players will traverse new dungeons, acquire powerful gear—including a new Archetype, “The Invoker"— meet unexpected allies, and face new threats in their quest to return some semblance of peace to the forgotten kingdom."
Vampire Survivors - Operation Guns (May 9)
Assemble a squad of classic Characters and arm yourself with an explosive arsenal of arcade weaponry in this action packed expansion for Vampire Survivors. Blast through thousands of fearsome foes and bonkers bosses from throughout the lauded lineage of Contra games. Persist determinedly through prodigious stages inspired by iconic Konami series, but be prepared for a bullet-hell of a fight, because if your trigger finger lacks stamina, Earth may lack a future.
Operation Guns embraces the visceral simplicity of classic Contra, with build-focused Characters that encourage min-maxing and stat manipulation, a tonne of weapons (we're talking 22 including evolutions!), and a difficulty curve that combines quintessentially arcade-hard gameplay with the Vampire Survivors formula.

Vampire Survivors is the gift that keeps giving.
I bought Remnant on launch. It has been a great game. I wish I had more time to play it but 2023 was LOADED with awesome games.
90% of games I play are co-op, and I have to say Remnant 2 is one of the best co-op games ever made. Been playing it once a week with friends since launch, we're working our way through apocalypse difficulty now. The first DLC was great, looking forward to this.
