It's a new year and although Xbox axed a lot of employees earlier this year, it's still recruiting new (and experienced) talent.
The latest individual to join the team is Jairo Lopes, who has taken on the role of third-party business development management for Xbox's global content partnerships. He comes from Lionbridge Games which provides services such as game audio, translation, testing, localisation, and marketing.
His LinkedIn page mentions how he has more than seven years of experience in business development and account management roles on the video game front.
Here's what he had to say about the new role (via social media):
Delighted to announce that I've joined the awesome @Xbox team as 3rd Party Business Development Manager for Global Content Partnerships.
I have always been a fan of Xbox's commitment to making gaming accessible to everyone, and from the moment this opportunity came up, it felt like a dream come true, my first week here has only reaffirmed that feeling.
I am delighted to work with this extremely talented and passionate team and cannot wait for all we will achieve with our partners.
I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at @LionbridgeGames, as I've spent 4 amazing years growing both personally and professionally. Your support, mentorship, and friendship have been invaluable, and I'll always carry our shared adventures with me!
Just last week, Xbox hired a former YouTube and Facebook executive as a new vice president of global partnerships. You can learn more about this hire in our previous story here on Pure Xbox:
