Back in late January, it was revealed that "additional updates and features" would be coming to Hogwarts Legacy at some point this year, which naturally sparked a lot of excitement amongst fans of the game.
Although the full details have yet to be revealed, we've now got a bit more insight on what to expect. Hogwarts Legacy Community Manager Chandler Wood took to Twitter yesterday to "set expectations" ahead of the "free update" - which is confirmed to be arriving this summer. Here's what he had to say:
"Hi everyone! We are thrilled that you are all excited for the free update to Hogwarts Legacy this summer. We love seeing all the guesses and hopes for what will be part of this update, and while we are not ready to talk about it yet, I do want to set some expectations for what we are working on. Our original wording of "additional updates and features for the game" was very intentional. This update is a small way of us showing appreciation to our players for the amazing reception to the game."
As you can see, there's clearly an intent with this message to cool expectations - suggesting we won't be getting a major expansion or anything like that - but hopefully we'll still get some interesting new features to make use of.
The fact that it's apparently going to be "free" is a bonus as well, so we're looking forward to seeing what Avalanche and Warner Bros. have up their sleeves! As soon as we get more details, we'll let you know.
