Today marks the arrival of the first proper Palworld update on Xbox, which was pushed out to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles a few hours ago. It's only a small update, but a welcome one nonetheless!
The Palworld team has published some limited patch notes for this Xbox update, which indicate that various known issues should now have been resolved on Xbox and PC Game Pass. There are a few other fixes that have been mentioned such as the compressed sound issue on Xbox, but for whatever reason these aren't detailed in the update.
So, here are the patch notes for today's Xbox update across the Xbox and PC Game Pass versions:
Palworld Xbox Game Pass Update (January 23, 2024) - Patch Notes
(Palworld_EN on Twitter - 4:57AM GMT):
"An update has just been released for the Xbox and Microsoft Store PC versions. Numerous bugs have been fixed, including sound issues."
"[Various other] bugs have been identified in this version and Pocketpair are currently working on a fix. They apologize for inconvenience. There [also] seems to be a unknown bug where Xbox players are being prevented from joining multiplayer sessions."
(Palworld_EN on Twitter - 10:28AM GMT):
"Updates have been released for Xbox and Microsoft Store PC versions. This update fixes some of the previously mentioned issues. The following issues have been fixed:"
Xbox
- When starting the game app, it goes black and cannot proceed further.
Microsoft Store PC version
- When starting the game app, it goes black and cannot proceed further.
- Controller is not recognized
- Key guide display is not displayed correctly
- Exit game button is not implemented
As mentioned earlier this week, you can expect Palworld updates to arrive a little slower on Xbox compared to Steam moving forward, and that's simply because of Microsoft's certification process for approving updates. It sounds like the team is working very hard on improvements though, so any additional bugs should be ironed out shortly.
