Earlier this week, it was revealed that Palworld would be launching day one on Xbox Game Pass on January 19th, and we've seen a whole lot of excitement surrounding that announcement over the past couple of days.
Still, there's also a fair bit of confusion about what exactly we're in store for here. Is it basically just Pokémon with guns? It's kind of like that, but it's also described as a survival and crafting game, so there's quite a lot to it.
"Fight, farm, build and work alongside mysterious creatures called "Pals" in this completely new multiplayer, open world survival and crafting game!"
If you're intrigued about Palworld's Xbox Game Pass release and want to know more, the video above is probably the best resource right now, as it's a 12-minute Q&A about what you can expect from the game in terms of its main features, the number of "Pals" in the game, its map size, and various other information.
Interestingly, it sounds like there's not much of a story as it's focused more around pure survival, which would make it similar to the developer's previous sandbox survival game, Craftopia. If you liked that, you'll probably like this!
Anyway, let's hope Palworld lives up to the hype when it arrives next week, and in the meantime we'll throw a bunch of videos below showcasing some "Pals" in action - including how you capture them with Pokéball-style mechanics.
