We've got another big Xbox Game Pass confirmation for January 2024! It's been announced today that Palworld, which has been attracting major attention over the past few years, will be launching with Game Pass on January 19th.
As we mentioned last year, this basically looks like Pokémon with guns, although there's actually a lot more to it than that. Apparently, the focus is on monster hunting, survival and crafting above all else, and you can use your "Pals" to fight, traverse the land, make them work to produce goods for you, or you can even eat them to help stay alive!
"Embark on an open-world adventure through Palworld, where you can discover and capture over 100 Pals! Unveil the secrets of this mysterious land, overcome formidable bosses, and build powerful bases. Use your Pals to do tasks for you and automate entire production lines.
In this game, you can peacefully live alongside mysterious creatures known as Pals or risk your life to drive off a ruthless poaching syndicate. Pals can be used to fight, or they can be made to work on farms or factories. You can even sell them or eat them!"
Palworld will be launching on Xbox Game Pass in "Xbox Game Preview" form when it arrives next week, which means it's an early access title for now. The plan is for it to remain that way for at least a year, with the development team hoping to add new monsters, make balance adjustments and implement new content during that time.
Anyway, this looks absolutely ridiculous and we're definitely excited to see what it's all about when it arrives on Xbox Game Pass next Friday. Hopefully it will have been worth the wait - it's something we've had our eye on for a while!
