I actually pre ordered it this year. I am not the biggest COD fan but i am tired of not having a shooter to play that i like. I will play the single player starting tomorrow and then look forward to what i am hoping is a decent to above average online multiplayer shooter. I miss shooting games but i so dislike battle royal. This has the maps of the COD game i did really enjoy. Looking forward to it. Plus it’s a few extra bucks in MS’s wallet now.
Nah, full price for dlc that'll be on gamepass eventually. I'll give it a miss for now and just play the campaign at some stage when it's free
The review embargo for the campaign lifted at 9 am ET. Interesting that there are no reviews posted yet.
Played a few hours of the campaign and it's been good fun.
@Deljo It has a complete campaign, about 20 maps at launch, and Zombies! What did MW2 have that made it a proper release? This "It's DLC" should really stop. Some leaker said that there wasn't going to be a full release this year. Now randomly people have taken it as gospel.
Yeah, I got a full screen ad for it when I turned on my Xbox today.
Haven't seen one benefit to gamers since they bought Activision, but at least I know who wants my money most.
@Nexozi in that case you'd think they could add a full achievement/trophy list...
@Deljo I've never bought a call of duty game for it's achievement/trophy list.
@Nexozi and that's fine but still an indicator that it wasn't treated as a full release as this is normally only associated with smaller titles or dlc. Sorry youve taken my view as a personal insult...
@Deljo Why have I taken it as a personal insult? I'm just pointing out that the game is the same as a full release. So that's why they're charging full price. There may have been discussions about just doing a story DLC for this year but then they obviously decided not to do that and went for a full release.
@Deljo All achievements will now fall under one banner. On PC Call of Duty MW2 has become Call of Duty HQ and on Xbox MW2 has now simple been named Call of Duty. They are having a single launcher for everything
The game is still worth 1000 gamerscore with a full suite of achievements
Yes the Campaign is live....but without ruining it for people...what an utter load of crap! After MW2s excellent campaign, MW3s was clearly some seasonal content they botched into a campaign for MW3. The devs should be hanging their heads in shame.
