Alan Wake 2 made its debut on Series X|S last week, and now to follow this, Remedy has released its very first patch for all versions of the game including Xbox.
It's also shared "update notes" on its official website but it's pretty vague. According to the Xbox section, there are some bug fixes, and multiple other issues have been addressed - like one problem where players could get stuck.
Here's the full rundown, courtesy of Remedy's official website:
Alan Wake 2 Xbox Series (Version 1.0.0.4) - October 30th, 2023
Xbox Series (1.0.0.4)
-Bugfixes
-Fixed multiple visual issues
-Fixed multiple UI-related issues
-Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in interacts and not exit
If you haven't had the chance to check out our Alan Wake 2 review here on Pure Xbox just yet, we thought this sequel was an absolute masterclass in survival horror. The combat might not be "100% there" but it's still an amazing psychological horror and is one of 2023's greats.

Looked all through new gamepass releases Alan Wake 2 isn't there....was super excited when I read this.
@Wadeinca1 Oops! Updated now.
And there is already a second patch out today to take it to 1.0.0.7.
According to the information it puts the Xbox version in "parity" with PC and PS5 versions.
The patch notes only say "bug fixes".
Some people are still reporting the sound bug. I have encountered a couple variations of the sound bug since starting. I have had it where the sound cuts out completely. I have also had it where only the Left Front Channel is "gone" but everything else works.
It definitely seems to be an issue with whatever sound API the PC/Xbox uses these days as the PlayStation 5 version hasn't been reported to have it.
