Ubisoft has announced its own selection of free-to-play games this weekend - all from its premiere Assassin's Creed franchise. We're also expecting our usual set of Free Play Days titles in addition to these, so there's going to be lots to try out for free on Xbox this weekend!
The five AC games in question are Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and the three titles that make up The Ezio Collection - Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed Revelations.
You will need to be an Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate member to play these which is worth keeping in mind, but other than that, these titles will be fully free-to-play from August 10th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST through August 14th at 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am BST.
All "Standard Edition content" within each game will be available during the above times, so you'll be able to play any of the five games to your heart's content this weekend. Ubisoft will also be running a special Assassin's Creed sales promotion on Xbox during this free play period, so it's worth keeping a look out for that if you're keen on adding any of these to your library on a permanent basis.
If this all sounds splendid to you, it's also worth noting that you can download the games that you want ahead of time with the Xbox mobile app, and then when the free period kicks off, you can start playing those titles immediately instead of being forced to wait for your download. Valhalla is around 100GB in size, so this might be worth doing if that's the AC game you're looking to try out!
