Surprise! GameMill Entertainment has announced a sequel to its Nickelodeon-themed fighting game series, with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 heading to PC and consoles later this year. We don't have a release date right now, but it's coming this fall, and we have some footage of the title in action up above.
The sequel looks like it's had a pretty decent glow-up in the visuals department, and the team is making sure to implement plenty of gameplay improvements as well. Here's what's been said about the game so far, with more details to come later in the year:
- Jump into an all-new, original story featuring roguelike mechanics, minigames, new arcade mode, boss rush and more!
- Duke it out with new SUPER abilities, refined mechanics, new offensive and defensive options, and a fresh new take on platform fighting gameplay!
- Legendary voice acting talent brings new and returning characters from your favorite shows to the brawl with all-new playstyles and abilities!
- From a new online experience including crossplay and updated lobby systems, to new costumes, unlockable rewards and improved training mode, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is bigger and better than ever!
We felt that the 2021 original lacked a little something, labelling it 'Average' in our 5/10 review of the game around launch. Here's hoping the team can fully realise its fighting game vision in the upcoming sequel!

The first game died so quickly they are pumping out sequels annually?
@Kaloudz I can't help but feel like we willed this into existence the other day...
@ZuneTattooGuy With how fast they pump out the Nick Kart Racers, they showed restraint waiting this long.
Hopefully they changed characters having repeat moves in Movesets, and went a little less heavy on trying to make every move a reference.
They need to take a page out of the book of Multiversus and release free to play.
Just don't go make it take a month of grinding to unlock a single character lol.
@Kaloudz Wow, leaving me high and dry on this one, huh? 🤣
I hope they charge a full $70 for this game, because anyone who purchases it deserves to be robbed
The fact they are putting in legit voice acting for the characters in this is at least something in my eyes. I always felt that was a huge reason of why people bounced off the first game so quickly, because once you were playing the game was so quiet and lifeless...
The voice acting was essential for giving the game the actual characters the fun uniqueness and much more "realism" to the fantasy of having any of these Nickelodeon characters fighting each other.
Nickelodeon has been cheaping out on effort and financially by leaving out voice acting in all of their games, the Kart Racers, ect. So I am glad they took the minimum effort in actually getting this done in this game...
@Stoned_Patrol
They added in voices to the first game
Could be fun. Smash has such a big presence with it's own niche and it's good to see games try and offer an alternative on other platforms, but I don't think any have stuck.
Interested to see how Multiversus does when it comes back for a full release.
@Kaloudz If that's how it works, remember this day, for I am formally calling a 2024 release for a DreamWorks All-Star Smash.
