We've seen a lot of games get a lot of remasters over the past few years, but for whatever reason, the original Xbox classic The Simpsons: Hit & Run has remained untouched - at least in an official capacity.
The latest person to lend their support for a Hit & Run remaster is none other than the legendary DOOM and DOOM Eternal composer Mick Gordon, who had the following to say on Twitter this week:
Back in February, we polled the Pure Xbox community on three classics that all arguably deserve remasters (Hit & Run, Left 4 Dead and Project Gotham Racing) and Hit & Run was by far the most popular vote at the time.
The question is, will we ever see it? There hasn't been a brand-new Simpsons title on Xbox since 2007's "The Simpsons Game", so we're not holding out much hope! There's so much money to be made here... it's surely a no-brainer!

Simpsons "Hit and Run" and "Road Rage"...If your like me and have trouble remembering which is which, I go with "Crazy Taxi" (2 words) and "Road Rage" (2 words) and of course "Hit And Run" (3 words) and "Grand Theft Auto" (3 words).
I'd buy it day one. Such a fun game, even to this day. Some good jokes in there too.
One of the few games that genuinely deserves the remaster treatment in my opinion.
Loved this game as a kid but I remember the missions being very frustrating.
Why are gamers so obsessed with re-buying old games instead of something new? A new game could do so much more with the more advanced tech.
@stefan771 I understand that it seems an easier cheap way of developers making money from making old stuff again. However I actually love remakes of old games. Not sure your age, I'm old and the nostalgia you get from playing a remake/remaster of your youth is really cool.
I completely understand wanting new IPs and the arguments against remakes. I get it. I just personally really enjoy them . And I'm someone who loves trying new things. For me there's tons of new games and IPs I've never played so it's no shortage on that front.
