The Xbox Game Pass library will soon be expanded, with the Warsaw, Poland-based developer and publisher '11 Bit Studios' announcing it has signed on with Microsoft's subscription service.
The studio's chief business development officer PaweΕ Feldman confirmed this via social media:
"We have big news to share today. Weβll be bringing a part of our portfolio to Game Pass! I canβt share the list of titles just yet but itβs gonna be a blast for both @XboxGamePass and @11bitstudios fans."
11 Bit Studios was founded in 2010 by former members of CD Projekt and Metropolis Software, and is known for past releases such as the survival game This War of Mine (2014) and the city-builder survival Frostpunk (2018). It's currently hard at work on Frostpunk 2 and 'The Alters'.
Microsoft's Game Pass service aims to provide users with a curated selection of games, covering as many different genres and interests as possible. Other developers have mentioned in the past how Xbox Game Pass deals have provided them with huge deals and even put financial concerns at ease.

Oh this is nice !
I've nothing but huge respect for 11 Bit Studio. Everything they make is a gem. And Frostpunk 2 is currently one of the most anticipated game. I think this deal can prove huge for them.
This news article is inaccurate. Publishers unanimously dislike game pass. The guy in charge of PS Plus talked to them all and said so, so this must be lies.

No surprise there, indy developer and publisher enjoying a massive platform with a current slight content deficit providing enormous marketing opportunities and extending their reach. In other news water is wet.
Hopefully, come this October the deficit will end and we'll see how many people will spend tens of hours in mobile-first games with Starfield and Forza on their Series drives..
