Hogwarts Legacy has remained a full-priced title on the Xbox Store ever since it launched in February, but as of today, it's reached an "all time low" - thanks to a 20% discount for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
That discount brings the price down from the usual £59.99 / $59.99 on Xbox One and £64.99 / $69.99 on Xbox Series X|S to £47.99 / $47.99 on Xbox One and £51.99 / $55.99 on Xbox Series X|S.
The deal was supposed to go live earlier this week, but ended up being delayed by a few days.
- Hogwarts Legacy - Xbox One (Xbox Store) - £47.99 / $47.99
- Hogwarts Legacy - Xbox Series X|S (Xbox Store) - £51.99 / $55.99
Of course, it's still a pretty expensive game at those prices, but don't forget that you can use your Microsoft Rewards points to make the purchase even cheaper, along with any existing Xbox credit you may have.
If you already own Hogwarts Legacy, it's also worth noting that the Dark Arts Pack is discounted by 20%, featuring the Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Cosmetic Set and Dark Arts Battle Arena for £14.39 / $15.99.

Still not there yet for me. Let's get close to 40% and I'll pick it up.
another game that is much easier to get cheaper physically thus making me hate the hastening demise of the medium and the monopolistic nature of digital storefronts.
i got it for ps5 for £35 about a month ago.
still not worth it imo. i got so bored i couldn't finish it.
Finally, I've been waiting so long for a sale. In my country it's double that price for a physical version.
@Reptilio same all I wanted was to be free and choose good or evil not some school task like give us the power of a damn wizard. It’s 2023 idk why devs can’t get more creative and give gamers more power with this ip
20% would have been nice if it was a $59.99 game.
But instead they had an upcharge for having ticked different graphics settings.
Meanwhile it launched $59.99 on PC where you have access to all those options for no added cost.
LOL. The game has been out only since February. I expect we will see better pricing in the Black Friday/End of Year sales.
If you are even remotely a fan of HP, this is an excellent game. As a big HP fan, this game was GOTY for me. Are there room for improvements? Absolutely. But given the success of this game, I am sure they will take feedback and make necessary improvements on the next installment. Hopefully we will see some DLC's.
I have £125 worth of reward points, and I still wouldn't use more than £30 on it. 1) because people keep saying it's boring and 2) I'm Scottish and tighter than a ducks a*se 😂🦆
@MrList I got it for €25 at launch. Crazy how a 20% discount after almost half a year is worthy of an article 😂
And people are glad they're digital only lol
I'd rather buy a physical game than digitally and the prices are cheaper
@Cherip-the-Ripper physical will always be better than digital for me
51£ is still a lot
Pretty dismal sale, but it's a major game so it's not surprising. Hoping it comes down to at least 30-40% Black Friday.
I'm at the point based on principal, finances, and backlog I won't touch a game for over $45 ever. (Nintendo's the exception since their prices never drop but at least with vouchers it's $50 at launch which is a unique launch day sell.)
@MrList I'm really hoping the post-Apple smackdown in EU affects all these walled garden digital storefronts. I still maintain that the idea of the walled garden monopolies is a relic of an ancient time that was simply an oversight in law. Non-regulated company store monopolies haven't existed in a century outside the 3 consoles and 2 mobile companies. They need to be broken up. At least XB and Nintendo (US-only?) Still allow retailers to sell digital keys. PS halted that so there's one and only one place to buy - direct sale only. The whole concept of walled garden stores needs to end permanently. I know Phil said a while back he was open to at least another storefront on XB. Imagine a world where you could buy XB games on Steam too.
