Update: A sixth game has since been added to the lineup in the form of Arcade Paradise! Here's the latest:
Original story: We've still got a few weeks left to go until July, but there are already five games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass next month! A couple were announced at the Xbox Games Showcase Extended, so we thought we'd give you an update.

The highlight of the selection right now is definitely Capcom's Exoprimal, which launches day one on the service on July 14th, and we're also particularly interested in Sword and Fairy 7 which is finally crossing over to the world of Xbox.
We'll obviously let you know when more games are announced for next month, but for the time being, here are more details on each of these five July 2023 Xbox Game Pass additions:
Sword And Fairy 7 (July 6th)
An action RPG based on Chinese art style, as the 7th lineal sequel of this series, it earns a lot of anicipations. Better gaming experience than any of its previous episode will be brought to all the players.
Exoprimal (July 14th)
Exoprimal is an online, team-based action game that pits humanity's cutting-edge exosuit technology against history's most ferocious beasts – dinosaurs.
Techtonica (July 18th)
Techtonica is a first-person factory automation game set beneath the surface of an alien planet. Work alone or in co-op to build factories, gather resources, research new technologies, mold the destructible terrain, establish a base of operations, and uncover long-forgotten secrets.
The Wandering Village (July 20th)
The Wandering Village is a city-building simulation game on the back of a giant, wandering creature. Build your settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with the colossus. Will you survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world, contaminated by poisonous plants?
Venba (July 31st)
Venba is a short narrative cooking game, where you play as an Indian mom, who immigrates to Canada with her family in the 1980s. Players will cook various dishes and restore lost recipes, hold branching conversations and explore in this story about family, love, loss and more.
Before July, don't forget that we've got more Xbox Game Pass titles to come in June as well, although Microsoft is remaining pretty quiet about these so far — we're expecting to learn more at some point next week.
Which of July 2023's Xbox Game Pass games are you most excited for so far? Tell us down below.

How wonderful does the wandering village look? Also capcoms dinosaur shooter game makes me so excited it's just silly haha, I love dinosaurs. I love mecha. This almost seems close enough. Really excited to play both games. In fact all these games look fun, and make July worth having Gamepass.
That said, where are the gamepass games for this end of month? Did I miss it? I'm busy anyway so I guess it don't matter.
Sword and Fairy looks beautiful! Will it be as good as it looks?
Exoprimal alone makes July a good month.
Looking like a decent July for GP and then just August to get through before Starfield is September!
Sword and fairy 7. Do I have to play the previous games to understand 7 or can I just pick up the game at 7?
@Kaloudz it looks like a cheap Chinese Final Fantasy. Like most (all) cheap China knock-offs I assume it plays infinitely worse. There is a reason they didn't show a second of gameplay.
Looks all OK but there's to much many indies games flooding the service now for me
I'm looking forward to Exoprimal, I've got it pre-installed ready.
I can see myself being hooked on the wandering village.
LMFAO the description under Sword & Fairy barely makes sense at all. Obviously a language barrier but they just didn't even try
That Sword and Fairy description looks like an AI wrote it.
@Cashews
Can't play worse than final fantasy 15
@Dan1283 we want we many indie games as possible. I can't agree with this comment. Game Pass is the home of the Indies for me now. They nearly always thrive on the Service. Keeps it fresh and exciting. End of June looks packed. Be positive it's not a bad thing. More games in more peoples hands.
@Cashews
Uhhh they did show some gameplay. They didn't show any combat... but they definitely showed some gameplay towards the end.
@Stoned_Patrol Yeah a lady jumping off of an owl and then panning the camera around. i.e. Nothing.
I may stream it from the cloud but I don't want to accidentally get an achievement and then have like 2% on some crummy Chinese mess. I'll wait to see how bad it is first. Maybe it will be good who knows?
Sword and fairy 7 is a good addition for me, ive been looking at purchasing it on ps5 for a few months and Im glad I havent now.
For anyone interested, theres no need to have played earlier itterations and there should be a pretty decent jrpg style game in there. Its 73 on metacritic, with scores ranging from 50 to 90.
Thanks for saving me some money GP.
