Xbox and Bethesda are kicking their Redfall promotion efforts into overdrive right now, and the teams' latest announcement is for a 'Launch Celebration' event on Twitch. During the livestream, Arkane will be granting an opportunity for fans to win a brand new custom Xbox Series X bundle.
The new system is the second custom console we've seen for Redfall so far, and it will be part of a sweepstakes competition during the event. Earlier this month we caught wind of this Redfall themed Xbox Series X as well - while Microsoft also announced a Redfall collaboration on Xbox Design Lab earlier this week.
For now, we don't know much else about what the event will entail, but it all kicks off roughly 90 minutes before Redfall goes live on Xbox Game Pass. The livestream begins at 3:30pm PT / 6:30pm ET / 11:30pm BST on May 1st.
Of all this new Redfall Xbox hardware, which is your favourite design? Let us know down below!

That console is hideous. Xbox seem to release more custom consoles than games at this point.
@Fenbops Consoles AND controllers!
@Fenbops
It takes 2 days fpr agood artist/craftman to costumize it now were comparing it to a AAA game in 2023
I'm so pumped and excited for this game Tues. All the bad hype is just silly and unnecessary.
The 60 fps people are the video game equivalent of, oh I only eat organic.
@Kaloudz Me too! I will start downloading it this weekend.
@HarmanSmith think they have released enough controllers that it beats the output of MS and Sony games.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner I think that it's highly likely!
@Fenbops well it's April now, and they released four first party games if we include redfall. That's four first party games(hifi,ghostwire,minecraft, redfall) in five months compared to one custom console this year. So much for that narrative.
@grumpypotato Heck yea. It's tasty, and gets the job done. All while not feeling entitled. Win all way around.
@fizban3332 I’ll give you that. I enjoy the banter tho 😜
@Fenbops 😅. I get the sentiment though. Hopefully June showcase has a few surprises for this year.
@fizban3332 @fizban3332 your forgetting 2 titles released this year on Xbox from first party studios; Goldeneye and Age of Empires 2
@fizban3332 you’re absolutely correct. Microsoft needs to market their games better though. Make some sequels, choose their main characters, do cross-marketing (like super smash bros did, or make skins in halo ultimate for their other games, i would love a red or black redfall skin with the teeth on my helmet, or decoration or an event for other games in forza), make yourself and the games you stand for known better.
Or do some marketing áfter the game has released. It’s so weird we see a reception trailer on their xbox youtube for high on life TODAY. After months of that game being available. Where is the after-market hi-fi rush? That game should get attention every week for a month at least. It’s a game that could thrive on hype.
At last! A little hype on Xbox. I like it, very 80s. It reminds me of Ultimate Play the Game (Rare) games on Spectrum.
You all said what I was going to say. That console is hideous.
@grumpypotato "30 FPS people are equivalent of those eating cheese from a spray can."
ROFL!
@Friendly "It’s so weird we see a reception trailer on their xbox youtube for high on life TODAY."
Could be they hit the pause button and waited for the Roiland furor to die down. If you remember the chain of events, that game took off spectacularly and blew up like the Challenger (respectfully 😌). It was like someone was just waiting to pull the trigger.
@Amigator ahh another oldie spectrum gamer like me I see!
Yeh I can see the ultimate reference, with the single block colours.
Unfinished game though.
@NeutronBomb these days almost no game is sadly
It feels great to finally see some hype and marketing around an Xbox exclusive. I wish they’d sell more custom hardware around the launch of first party games. It would be badass to have at least a limited edition custom controller themed with each Xbox first party exclusive release. Bigger titles might get more than just a controller, but instead a console wrap or something.
I must admit that Console and Controller don't appeal to my tastes but I guess as unique one-off designs to offer as a prize in a competition, its 'OK'.
It's a bit like getting an Artist or famous person to sign a console making it a 'unique' prize for someone.
I don't tend to buy 'custom' Consoles unless they are available at 'launch' - like the Project Scorpio or Gears 4 XB1S as I probably own the console otherwise and don't 'need' another one. Its the same when they release limited Edition Controllers these days - I prefer my Elite V2 and have plenty of 'back-ups' so can't really justify buying a 'new'' controller just because it 'looks' cool.
At this stage in generation, I already have the Hardware in place to play 'new' games - but then this is not for sale anyway and just a unique competition prize that could be worth 'more' in the future due to its rarity...
I ordered the Layla themed custom controller off of Design Labs with a few customizations of my choosing. Can’t wait for them (got 2) to come in. Since I don’t have Gamepass (just got my series x), I opted to buy the game outright since it was a determining factoring in my getting my first Xbox. Hopefully I’ll have fun regardless of the less than desirable state it will be launching in
