Microsoft has announced today that the Xbox Game Pass "Friends and Family" plan has extended to six more countries, with those countries being Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sweden.
If you live in one of those regions (or Colombia and Ireland which already have access to the plan), you can now sign up to share an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate account with up to four friends and family members.
"This plan makes it even easier to play the best Game Pass games with friends and family across console, PC, and cloud. You can play at the same time on multiple devices and even play the same game at the same time. Each member can enjoy the library of hundreds of games on console, PC, or cloud (in supported countries)."
There are a few things to be aware of, such as the fact that everyone must reside within the same country, and invited group members will lose access to their current Xbox Game Pass subscription - only the owner of the group will get conversion benefits.
"Your time will migrate with you to the new plan on a fixed ratio; for example, a month of Game Pass Ultimate will be worth 18 days of Friends & Family. After your converted time runs out, it renews at the listed price.
However, the people you invite to share your membership with cannot convert their existing time. Before joining a group, a group member will need to cancel their existing subscriptions or wait for their existing subscriptions to expire."
For those wondering about regions such as the US and UK, there's no word on when to expect a rollout for the time being. When it does eventually arrive, it looks like it could be priced at around $25-$30 per-month.
