This one is a little unexpected! Seemingly out of nowhere, EA has delayed the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor out of its March release date, to allow for a bit of extra development time ahead of launch.
Thankfully, the delay isn't a long one. Respawn Entertainment's upcoming action adventure now hits all platforms on April 28th, including Xbox Series X and S. That's roughly six weeks later than the game's previous release date, which was March 17th.
The team says that the extra few weeks will allow for some "crucial" polish time while they get the whole experience spick and span for players to enjoy in just a few short months. Here's EA's full statement via Twitter:
Will you still be buying Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in late April? Let us know in the comments!

More proof Xbox can’t manage their studios…. 🙃
(Sarcasm for anyone that, yet again, decides to point to me that Xbox does not own EA)
@Tharsman Todd Howard is destroying the Star Wars IP by delaying it to November.
Oh wait............wrong Star game
In other words - we don’t have to rush it as Starfield ain’t coming out soon….
I'm glad they're not rushing it. Hogwarts Legacy will keep me busy for a long time lol, plus Resi 4 is slated for March, so I'm happy they're giving the game some space to breathe.
Excited for this and if it needs polish so be it. Got plenty to play but will be ready on day on
I'ma play it once it's in Gamepass via EA Play but still prefer they take the time necessary to have it a great game at launch
It's gonna be at least a year until it hits XGP I bet
Wait... EA? is delaying a game? FOR POLISH???
waits for meteor strike
@XxEvilAshxX I know right lol. Knock on wood but I swear they have been doing better
@XxEvilAshxX or Jesus, haha.
Dead Island 2 creators are cursing like crazy somewhere
