Update: It's now been confirmed that Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 will release for Xbox next week on Wednesday, July 20th! Pre-orders will be live on the official Xbox Store in the near future.
Original story: It was around this time last year that Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance received a re-release for modern consoles, and that's exactly what's happening again with Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, set for release in Summer 2022.
This version of the 2004 Xbox game will feature improved graphics and up to 4K resolution, along with local co-op support. You can check out the official trailer above, along with some details about the game below.
As soon as we get an official date for this one, we'll inform you!
Based in and around the city of Baldur’s Gate itself, the game features five playable characters and classes and spans dozens of locations. Featuring the ability to create custom weapons and armor, players can improve items by using runestones and gems while playing through the game’s four difficulty levels; “Easy,” “Normal,” “Hard” and “Extreme.”
Whether choosing the barbarian, monk, necromancer, rogue or cleric, players will have to actively fight through hordes of monsters ranging from Hobgoblins, Ghouls, Golems and dreaded Dragons while dodging attacks and evading deadly traps.

oh my freaking gosh dude. Day one freaking buy now i will have BOTH dark alliance games since the ps2, gamecube days!
The first on had not dated well, despite my loving it as a child. Hopefully this one has!
Loved these growing and and loved the 1st port. Hopefully Champions of Norath is next to be brought forward to all platforms
@Rmg0731 That would be awesome, but don't hold your breath. Daybreak Studios still hold EverQuest rights I believe, but I don't know about Norrath (same universe). Sony might still have exclusivity rights tied up in some old dusty contract, which could be why there's no mention of it on Daybreak's website.
If Sony decided they wanted to do a remaster for PS4/5 I'd be all over it, but they don't seem to be interested in doing so.
@XxEvilAshxX well the other hope i am holding out on CoN is that Sony would make it a part of the PS premium initiative where it could be a future game added on PSN and the service as the add more monthly. Unlikely but a man can hope
Yea really hope the Champions of Norrath games are next - but excited for this one as I never did manage to play it despite enjoying the first.
@Rmg0731 I would love to be wrong!
I remember playing and finishing this game (and the first one) on ps2 coop with my friend, can't wait to play this again 😃
And the game has the best water effect on any game on ps2 back then, even now the water effect is still impressive.
