It's been a few months now since Ubisoft added a free boost for Assassin's Creed Odyssey from 30fps to 60fps, and it looks like the same thing will be happening for Assassin's Creed Origins, with Ubisoft telling fans to "stay tuned".
In an update on Twitter to mark "Assassin's Creed Day", it was mentioned that the team was looking into the possibility:
Until now, Assassin's Creed Origins has only ever been playable at 30 frames per-second on consoles. Various other Assassin's Creed titles received FPS Boosts via the Xbox team, but Origins didn't end up being one of them.
If you want to buy it in preparation, AC: Origins is only £10.99 / $14.99 as part of the Xbox Countdown Sale 2021!
Looking forward to this? Let us know down in the comments section below.

I bought Origins a while back and wouldn't hate 60 fps, at all.
@IronMan30 i might be alone, but Origins is my favorite AC after Brotherhood. been waiting for FPS boost.
@armondo36 you ain’t alone. I LOVED origins. My favourite AC. I’ve not liked one since though.
Glad to see that more games are getting FPS boosts. Presumably this is Ubisoft doing it not Microsoft so maybe some more last gen games will get new life.
If there was one game i would pick to get a 60FPS boost it would be Origins..
Surprised they are looking at getting the man power to do this.
Puh'-lease! This game ABSOLUTELY needs it.
I've wanted to play this game. Basically waiting for 60FPS to make it happen.
Thank you, Ubisoft! You've become one of the best video games companies in spite of all the hate you got! I'm still playing the old AC in release order games so this is perfect.
So, the only Assassin's Creed games that are not 60fps on Series X/S after this are:
IV Black Flag
Syndicate
Correct?
@armondo36 I haven't played Brotherhood, but Origins is great.
I only got maybe 2/3 through the game and never went back to finish it up, so I'd love to see this!
Since they're looking into AC as a sort of continuous universe experience with that new rumored sort of "central launcher world" (that I assume is an Abstergo/Animus type environment) it might make sense they want the future game to plug directly into the existing games, so putting effort into bringing them up to spec is part of the new game project.
Excellent news. Origins was a really good game and fully deserves the TLC. I'll happily return to this one after the update.
