Update: It's official! Yakuza: Like a Dragon is joining the Yakuza lineup as part of Xbox Game Pass today, June 13, as announced as part of the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 Showcase. Check out the new trailer above.
Original story: Following multiple games seemingly getting outed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass ahead of their reveal, Yakuza: Like A Dragon seems to be the latest offender.
It’s not a huge surprise, but a welcome one none the less. It’s been spotted on one of the Microsoft Store pages, with multiple of the game's DLCs listed as - you guessed it - included in Xbox Game Pass. The supposed leak has also been confirmed by The Verge's Tom Warren, who has correctly provided credence to these sort of rumours before.

Obviously there’s no official word yet, but we imagine all will become apparent in tomorrow’s Xbox E3 Showcase. Yakuza: Like A Dragon joins Back 4 Blood and three Bethesda titles which also seem to be coming to the service. It’s looking to be an exciting year for Xbox Game Pass fans.
Happy to see Yakuza: Like A Dragon could be coming to the service? Let us know in the comments below.

Thumbs up! this is more like the quality of games i want to see hit game pass
Absolute gem of a game. So happy more people can play it. What an emotional journey.
Hopefully this is true.
So far we have
1. Yakuza Like A Dragon
2. Back 4 Blood
3. Fallout 3
4. Evil Within 2
5. Doom
I hope so. I passed on the sale.
Great. That means the entire series is now on Game Pass including all the Kiryu entries as well
I've already double dipped on PC after getting the games as they originally released on PS4 but great for those who've wanted to get into the series for the first time
I'm still about 35 hours into Yakuza 5, so I should be ready to play this by September lol
YES! I brought it a few days before RE: Village, sold it to get Village then prayed to Phil that Like a Dragon will end up on Gamepass.
Be wanting to try this...haven't played the other yakuzas but I'm willing to give this one a go
Thank you! I can’t play my physical disc so I was waiting on this.
This was my GOTY last year. Absolutely recommend, was a thoroughly amazing Yakuza game and nailed the transition with both the genre shift and new series protagonist.
I need to get around to playing this. The Yakuza franchise is one of my favorites, and I actually bought this game along with AC: Valhalla when the Series X released. I had every intention to play it, but AC took up most of my time and by the time I finished that 100+ hour journey I couldn't force myself to dive into another substantial meaty game. Since then, I just never got back to it, but I will soon.
Guess I have no excuse now to play this game.
So many Yakuza games on game pass. IT makes me think do you think Microsoft purchased sega?
Got this at launch. Incredible game; second only to Y0 in my opinion. Actually really glad I purchased this one (and Judgment) so that I could support them; since I played 0-6 on Gamepass.
@Nerdfather1 haha I was the opposite. I bought those same 2 games for Series X launch and played through Like A Dragon but only put a couple of hours into Valhalla.
Hades day one on GamePass in August!!!
I wonder if this was the big GP surprise they promised us for Sunday? Seems likely. Definitely downloading this tonight.
@XBontendo I still haven't played them but they look very funny and the gameplay seems great.
Gonna have to check this one out. Seems like an excellent jumping off point to peruse the series
@Nerdfather1
100+ hours in Valhalla? I might not ever crack open my copy knowing that now. I remember only getting 30 hours into Odyssey before I got bored with it.
Is Valhalla more or less more of the same?
@Dusk_Actual It's more of the same, but the side quests aren't really fetch quests--they can be considered as short stories that last five minutes, and they are typically fun, humorous, and enjoyable. I think that makes a big difference in terms of getting bored. Also, each location you visit has its own self-contained story which helps the game from becoming repetitive, and I think it was a smart decision. Don't get me wrong, it does get old after a while, but it is still worth a playthrough for sure.
