Xbox Celebrates Pride Month With New Gear And Freebies

As we've reached Pride Month, Xbox is joining in with the celebrations by bringing a wealth of content to players. Not only that, but the company will also be donating $150,000 to LGBTQIA+ non profit organisations.

As for what Xbox owners themselves can expect, there's a whole array of new gear being made available. A Pride collection of clothing will see a unique twist with many Xbox properties in the Xbox Gear Shop. Not only that, but there's also an Xbox Wireless Controller that comes designed with the traditional colours "in an interwoven energetic way". Unfortunately, the controller is only being handed out to influencers and media, so no luck for your average joe.

On the gaming side of things, Tell Me Why is being made entirely free up until June 30. Elsewhere, Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7 players will receive the 2021 Forza Rainbow livery, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection owners will be getting a Unity nameplate to celebrate the occasion. Finally, you can customise your Xbox profile with a new unique gamer picture and profile theme, to really show off your colours.

Other means of celebration see Microsoft Rewards users having the ability to donate to a LGBTQIA+ charity through the app, and members can also receive a special Pixelated Hearts banner set for Gears 5 by completing the game's specific punch card.

There's tons going on and we've only just scratched the surface. You can find the full rundown over at Xbox Wire, which fully details the ins and outs for Pride Month at Xbox. It's looking to be a fantastic celebration with a wide range of goodies and gear for players to enjoy.
