A New Super Monkey Ball Has Been Rated

We had Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD hit the Xbox One back in 2019, which was a wonderful remaster of the classic game. But now it looks like another title could be in the pipeline.

Spotted by Gematsu, the Australian Classification board has rated an unannounced game known as Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania. The rating has since been removed, but it certainly sounds like a new title is in the works. As it stands, there are no confirmed platforms, but given the fact Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD released on the Xbox One, it seems likely it would again make it to all platforms... unless it's a mobile game!

For those who never had a chance to play Monkey Ball, it's a series of cute platforming stages involving a monkey in a ball - as the title suggests. But instead of controlling the monkey yourself, you tilt the world. It often feels like an elaborate game of pinball cranked up to eleven. It'll be interesting to see how a new entry in the series will play out.
