One game that we think the Xbox Games Showcase could have really used the support of was Battletoads.
Sadly, we've seen very little of it since its initial reveal in 2018. It's got to the point where we're searching for other signs that it's still on the way. If you did tune into yesterday's broadcast, you may have noticed the character Rash made a cameo in the new trailer for Obsidian's latest title, Grounded.
Here's the shot, which you can see around the one minute mark in the video above:
The last real update we got about Battletoads, was earlier this week when the game was rated by the Australian Classification Board alongside Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition for PC. In case you're wondering, it's been given a PG rating and contains "mild crude humour, violence and coarse language."
Are you glad to see Battletoads hasn't been forgotten about? Tell us below.

I really don't understand why it didn't get a proper mention though. Same with the Cuphead DLC. Just show something.
@roe I still think it's going to be shadow-dropped on Xbox Game Pass over the next month or-so. Just a hunch.
If you want a clue just search the game on xbox.com, you'll find it next to the words "Coming soon".
Let's be honest how many people who are wanting Battletoads have even played let alone beat the original? It wasn't that good of a game to be honest and I feel that people are just crying about it cause it's cool too.
@Tasuki "Let's be honest how many people who are wanting Battletoads have even played"
Of course I have played that game! To hell and back! 😎
"let alone beat the original?"
Hey... lets not make impossible demands now! Lets be fair and realistic! 😅
" It wasn't that good of a game"
You take that back! 😤
Seriously, its not for everyone, but it was a great beat-em-up at the time. I still feel the series could make a fantastic Devil May Cry/Bayonetta style game.
@Tasuki It's also part of Rare Replay so many people have played it. People are excited because, you know, variety, what they have shown looks good, it's fun... Not everything needs to be The Last of Us.
