The third game in the Superhot series - Superhot: Mind Control Delete - is now available for Xbox One, and if you bought the original game before July 16th, you're entitled to a free copy of the new one.
Folks over on Reddit have begun receiving their free codes via their Xbox Live Messages, but if you haven't got one yet, don't worry - it looks like they're rolling out over time rather than all at once.
Also, it's important to note that if you acquired the original Superhot via Xbox Games with Gold back in 2018, you won't be eligible for the free copy. This is for purchasers of the original game (before July 16th) only.
Have you received your free copy of Superhot: Mind Control Delete yet? Let us know in the comments.

I got the message last night, it was a pleasant surprise I did not expect that from the Superhot Team. What a great company rewarding fans this way who supported them by buying the original.
Played some MCD on PC and it was a fun rogue lite game. Superhot and Superhot VR are must-haves.
Hm, too bad. I already figured I wouldn't be getting this sequel since I got the first one through Games with Gold, but there is essentially no difference between that version and the one that people bought at a later point in time, so it's a bit of a bummer, nonetheless. And kind of petty, in my opinion.
@ThanosReXXX The difference is people like me who received Mind Control Delete for free, actually bought the game which the developers profited from. Downloading games from Games with Gold and Game Pass, developers don’t profit from the players themselves but they do help the game become a success if there’s many playing it.
@MaccaMUFC I understand that, but as an Xbox Live Gold member, you actually DO pay for these games. None of these games are truly free, obviously. So, even though we may not be paying full price, technically speaking, we've still bought the game, and it was never that expensive in the first place.
And they will have definitely received some kind of fee from Microsoft for putting the game on Games with Gold, so there's that as well. Either way, it was just a personal sentiment.
