Leaks, Rumours & Predictions For The Xbox Games Showcase 2022
What will be shown at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022? Well, we can take a few educated guesses, such as the worldwide gameplay reveals of both Starfield and Redfall, and potentially another look at Hellblade 2, Fable and Perfect Dark, although the latter two have been rumoured as not making an appearance this year.
We've heard that Avowed might have a presence at the Xbox Showcase, Ark 2 might reveal some exclusive content, a new Minecraft RTS title could be announced, we may hear of a Gears Of War Collection (or we might not!), Banjo-Kazooie's revival might be in the works, and in general we can expect "a lot of gameplay". Plus, it looks like GoldenEye 007 could finally get a reveal, and of course we can look forward to plenty of Xbox Game Pass news, supposedly including some "surprises".
Before some of these rumours came to light, we also prepared some predictions here at Pure Xbox:

Thinking of waiting for the 4K upload to YouTube this year as the live stream is such poor quality, does anyone know how quickly that tends to go up once the live stream is over?
@Spaceman-Spiff It should be there within the hour at the very least, quite possibly much sooner.
@FraserG Thanks, in that case my patience should just about last...
Hmm I waited this long, I can definitely wait for the 4K version!
I usually watch both. Watch the live stream and then after a few days I’ll watch the 4K and the developers commentary.
I just read an article that fable and perfect dark won't be at the show according to Jeff Grub who I guess is in the know
For some reason I had it in my head that it was on today so I'm glad I checked, and saved myself a rush to get home in time.
@Spaceman-Spiff I tell myself tge same thing every show. It never happens for me as I cant resist watching the live pixelation until the decent quality ones get uploaded 😁
Good luck resisting that urge...
GMT uk time ?
or is the BMT the right for Europe, I have seen the summer game fest yesterday 9th
8 hours till the showcase, the Azerbaijan GP starts in 1 hour. A very decent Sunday all round ☺️
Unfortunately some IRL stuff has come up and I’ll have to catch up later. Enjoy everyone, have a feeling it will be pretty good!
I am going to miss the live stream as I won't be home, however that means that I should be able to jump onto the 4K YouTube video when I get in. 😊✌🏻
I need them to announce at least 2-3 big exclusives coming this year for me to re subscribe to gamepass, not really interested in indies and third party games as I will get on playstation, so I need them to go all out on their own games today, hopefully show some state of decay 3, hellblade 2 release for this year, starfield gameplay which I believe will be a 20 minute segment of gameplay and hopefully a evil within 3 reveal
I don't think I'll be watching live (not the most convenient time for me) but I'm sure there'll be plenty of coverage on here afterwards.
My XSX is currently mostly collecting dust. I hope there will be some stuff shown that will have me undust it someday.
@tatsumi
Likewise. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing Starfield, though.
@I_Go_by_Many_Names I sure hope one showcase doesn't make or break a hobby for you lol
This is Xbox big chance to get us hyped for the rest of the year and next. Hope we get some great surprises
@I_Go_by_Many_Names I can understand that. Everyone is heading towards live service and drip feeding content. I have a feeling Xbox will continue to go down that road since they want to add co-op to every game to get more Game Pass members. Sony and Nintendo are going that route too, but they will still have they're big single player games
@pip_muzz Nice to know I'm not the only one who was concerned about a potential clash!
Looking forward to this, can’t wait!

Sounds like you're playing an interesting set of games. From the outside I've been playing games neither my PS4, or One X could do. My PC could play them, though if they ere on it.
If you're looking for VR, PSVR isn't it. Wires in VR are experience breaking. Glad we've finally moved to wireless on PC.
Let’s hope they announce a certain N64 First Person Shooter and maybe even bring onto Game Pass today? 😆

I didn't say anything about exclusives. I own everything already so I couldn't care less about those.
ESO for example. Damn near unplayable with the 20fps on Xbox One. Meanwhile a smooth 60fps on Series X. That is an experience you cannot get lats gen because the consoles aren't capable. There are plenty of other games as well that I either skipped or played on PC because of how bad they ran last gen they are actually playable now on the new consoles.
Concerning the VR. You must be playing seated VR then because there is zero way you wouldn't notice the cable. Even when I had my old one ran to a return in the ceiling so it never touched me, you'd still fell the cable resisting you.
There is absolutely zero way I'd be able to play experiences like Resident Evil 4, Population One, Onward, Pavlov, or even MMOs like Zenith with a cable. The climbing alone is a pain because you're always reaching up and hitting the cable. And that's to say nothing about having to keep up with the cable when spinning around in fights trying to not get tangled.
The only way to avoid this is with a seated experience which is the opposite of what VR is for unless you're playing something like Elite or War Thunder.
