Ever since Stalker 2's Poppy Field has been shown off in pre-release footage on Xbox, fans have wanted to explore this particular section of the map - and the good news is that you can do it fairly early on in the game.
Here's how to find the Stalker 2 Poppy Field and complete the related quest:
Stalker 2 Poppy Field Location
First off, the Stalker 2 Poppy Field is located just north west of the first main town area. You'll see a small red patch on your map just below a riverbed.
However, before setting off to go see it, it's worth picking up the related side quest from this first main town area. We'll explain how to do that down below.
Stalker 2 Poppy Field Quest
When in the first main town, you'll notice a few side quests on your map - marked by blue indicators. One of those leads you to a building in the town - where you'll meet character 'Mityay'.
Talk to Mityay, progress the quest conversation, and then you can head out to the Poppy Field and find what he's after. Note: it's worth taking some energy drinks with you (or finding some dotted around near the field itself) because they help prevent you from getting sleepy near the poppies!
Stalker 2 Poppy Field Religious Icon
Mityay is looking for a 'Religious Icon' that's been left in the Poppy Field region. This Religious Icon is hidden in a small hatch in the middle of the Poppy Field - we've thrown some pictures down below to show you what you're looking for (the location is right in the middle of the red patch on your map).
Once you've found it, grab the Icon (maybe even save your game) and then you can head back to Mityay with the goods.
Stalker 2 Poppy Field Quest Rewards
When arriving back in Mityay's building, you'll be prompted to speak to him again. Now, you can hand over the Religious Icon, and you'll be granted with 1000 credits (Coupons) as a result.
As usual with Stalker 2, you have multiple options when continuing this conversation with Mityay, and you can even keep the Icon if you want and not bother giving it to him. Who knows, it may come in handy somewhere further into the game.
Either way, this is one way to explore the Stalker 2 Poppy Field and get something out of it - we'll gladly take the 1000 credits, ourselves!
