Lol a “server slam” the weekend Tears of the Kingdom comes out. Yeah, ok. They’ll be missing a significant chunk of the population interested in this.
@somnambulance Keep in mind that not all players will game on Zelda. Conversely, not all gamers will play the Diablo IV server slam. Two unique and sizable audiences, some of which can enjoy both games at similar times this weekend.
@somnambulance I understand Zelda is a big game (I'll be playing it after this weekend), but Diablo 4 is a much bigger game, lol. I'm sure Blizzard is not at all concerned.
@Romans12 @danielrestored They’re relatively comparable in sales. BotW had 27 million copies sold (on one platform) whereas Diablo 3 had sold 30 million across all platforms. I think there’s a decent chunk of crossover with fans between the two series. Diablo 4 news will be buried underneath the Zelda response, outside gaming sites that don’t focus on Nintendo oriented content (even PureXbox put out a TotK article, interestingly enough). I would have played the Diablo 4 server slam myself if it would’ve released any other weekend and I feel like a lot of people feel the same way. Both great games.
@FenIsMightier Zelda being released on one platform - Nintendo Switch. Diablo 4 (one of the biggest gaming franchises) being released on six platforms - Xbox Series X, S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. No sarcasm at all. Educate yourself kid.
I learned my lesson with Diablo 3, I can easily wait past the initial launch and get into this game sometime later.
Me, me, me. I, I, I! It's Friday!
@JayJ D4 is way better than D3 ever was.
