Assassin's Creed Shadows' release date for Xbox Series X|S is March 20th, 2025. There is no early access release for AC Shadows, regardless of which edition of the game you buy.

Assassin's Creed Shadows' release time for Xbox is 12am local time, which applies to all regions around the world.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Xbox Preload
The Xbox preload for Assassin's Creed Shadows is now live, and has been accessible for Xbox Series X|S players since March 4th. Preload for other platforms is to follow this week - as the map up above says in the top right corner.
Assassin's Creed Shadows Download Size On Xbox
The download size for Assassin's Creed Shadows comes in at roughly 107GB on Xbox Series X. That could change slightly once the game launches - but this is the overall install size as we near launch on March 20th.
Assassin's Creed Shadows Xbox Review Embargo
With Assassin's Creed Shadows launching this week, online reviews will be cropping up shortly. As we can see on social media, the review embargo date looks to be March 18th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm GMT.

I can not believe the game is ready to release in a few days. It feels like forever, and man, I'm so ready!! This may be one of the few AC games I 100% and get the DLC for.

Oh my god, another over 100GB title 😅😅😅 I really hope they start the next Gen XBox with 2TB from the start. I couldn't live anymore without the 1TB expansion SSD and If it wouldn't be so ridiculous expensive, I would have already changed it into a 2TB one.
